Dehumitifer for sealed room.

I’m in need of a new Dehumitifer.
I got one that’s on its last legs & needs to be replaced. I’m looking at getting a Quest Daul 105 , because I’d like to get my power bill in check.
Anyone have this model or brand?
Any recommendations on others?
Any reviews?

105 pints is not a very big dehumidifier. I have a General Electic that's only slightly less efficient than the Quest, but it was $1,100 dollars cheaper.

If your space isn't huge, and it's not incredibly damp the dehumidifier may not have to run very often. If this is the case, it will take a long time to make your money back in power savings.

On the other hand, professional, specialty equipment is pretty bad-ass and cool. The Quest looks indestructible and long lasting. My GE isn't cheap and flimsy, but its still made from plastic.

It’s not huge, but it’s good for 4-6 lights
It pulls 8.8pre kWh which is very good.
I’m running a Drieaz 1200 in my flower room now, it doesn’t stop running.
Got the same one in veg, and it only has maybe a couple weeks left.
I was thinking put the Quest in flower, n switch the 1200s n keep one for parts .
I need to start thinking about power consumption, because it’s getting out of hand.

I picked up the two 1200s used for a good price, to get me by, now it’s time to start switching them out .

Less power use is good! Also, you seem to like serious equipment.

I googled the Drieaz 1200, and it's rated for 15 gallons, or 120 pints. The Quest is supposed to pull 105 pints.

If the Drieaz runs all the time, the Quest machine that is about the same size will presumably run a lot too. You may be able to get even more efficiency with a Bigger sized Quest, that would remove more humidity each "cycle" and run less.

I got one and use it to get my humidity down to 50-55% at night, the 4 ton ac helps as well. I got an equivalent to a 6K room .It is fantastic. But you sure do pay the big bucks for fantastic. Yes it is quiet yes it works extremely well yes it is super efficient yes it costs 5 times as much as a cheap one, but the greatest thing it does is on startup it doesn't draw huge amps or do that house shaking THUMP. Highly recommended if you got the money.

I’m thinking the 1200s run all the time because they are old n tired , and they drink twice the power.
I would think , the new unit should run half as much at half the amps, 75% power saving .

Anyway.... I couldn’t wait , as one is on its last legs. I found the 105 with pump for $2300 all in.
Most places where saying over 3k with pump.

Now that I’m legal, I like good gear

I’m running 4 de 1000, with a 3.5 ton mini split , CO2 is usually about 1200ppm ...
Using sentenal controllers .
Yes fantastic isn’t cheap.
But I never ever have to buy weed ever again.

I got such a good deal on the 1200s that when I replace the 2nd one,
I’ll sell it n the other for parts together
Ill be out $250 for a year’s worth of use.
Sounds like a win to me.

Sante Fe Classic for me. Quest 110's &105's werent widely available when i bought the Sante Fe. But they are very alike. These are what you want medium to medium/large ops running 6 to 10 lamps inna sealed room.

Wow , this thing is a beat
I should have measured twice, it’s a lot bigger then I was expecting. But I’ll make it work, it just isn’t going to get the recommended 12” space on one side.

Just waiting on a pump, hanging brackets n a compressor plug .
Hopefully I’ll have it up in a week.
