I have my 4x8 indoor grow in Veg now under 2 900 ($380 total) watt Vipraspectra's. I have had them Veg switch for a few weeks and the plants have been growing INSANELY good. I have both flower and veg buttons on for a week now then will flip to only flower spectrum. I am No massively experienced grower but seems all good to me so far. We will see how long the light last.

From what I've heard it helps to leave both switches on for flower, it still uses the blue light just not as much as when in veg

The are Strayfox's Wake of the Dragon and BBT x Bubba Kush and Greenpoint's Moondance, Purple Mt Majesty,Blizzard bush, and Maverick's. HSO's Blue Dream CBD fem and a HSO's lemon garlic og fem and two GG#4 x Long bottom leaf from bad dawg

I just got 2 of the Viparspectra 450W in the mail today, nice to see your good results.

Im still only week 3.5, only using the Veg for now, will be switching over to Veg + Bloom next week I think.

so i've got 3x 600 watt vipar spectras and for a 4x4, 1 light is good for veg. but for flowering, i'd suggest running at least 3 to get good ccoverage and decent sized buds.
i've done a 4x4 tent with 2x600w spectras and got pretty decent results. im thinking adding 2 more would kill it, but probably not worth the money spent... quality was really good

Its when they get to mid flower they lack. Not enough light.
Each 900 is a 400w light which is underpowered for 4x8

Thanks...just curious have you used Viparspectra light?
Yep. Tried one out on a single plant grow. It was the 450 watt version. About 4 weeks into veg I realized it was simply awful and went back to the HPS.

It was free, so I gave it a go. It simply doesn't have any power. In the end, go COB, go HPS, or just stick to T5's. The half-assed LED's are a complete waste of time.

Mines got me some good bud from a tiny plant, this will be my proper test for it though, this girl will be much bigger so if she doesn't get the same quality as the 1st plant the vipar is relegated to veg tent duty!

Tacomac, do you hold the same opinion on meizhi?

"Their".

And it's fact, not opinion. Compared to what you would have with better lighting, you've had shit results. Everybody that uses them has shit results.

Sadly, neither you or they will ever admit that until they get a decent light and nearly double their yields...then all of a sudden they have a complete 180 change of "opinion" and start telling everybody how great your COB/HPS/T5 setup is and how shitty their cheap assed LED is.

You saying you've had "good results" with a bad light is like saying your Volkwagen Jetta is "just as good on the track" as a Ferrari...when you've never even driven a Ferrari.

Do you reckon mine will flower okay with the 300w (135ish true) vipar to herself and this 300w cfl kept close by? I'll rotate her daily or as needed
It comes down to how much space you want to light up. 1.5x1.5ft or less and you will be happy.
I'm talking about the vipar on its own here
