I dealt with Russell at R2T. He was a pleasure to deal with. He is easy to communicate with. Responds quickly. He had 15 days to build the boards and mail them and I explained how my current light stopped working and if he could try to send them as soon as possible. He got them done in 10 days. I ordered 6 boards in 3000k and I will be ordering some in a few months 5000k or 4000k for veg. There was a vendor selling $10us less a board but he was jerking me around. I ordered 6 board through him and a week into the 15 days he tells me he can't get 3000, would I take 4000k. I said no and got a refund. I then went to Russell at R2T. If you go to Russel, tell him Joe Dirt sent you.
Have you seen this listing https://m.alibaba.com/product/60684466092/40w-LM561C-chip-S6-SSL120-660nm.html?spm=a2706.7843299.1998817009.4.AHCIJZ
Talk about sexy!!!

Could you share how much you paid ?

I'm not a member here but I have been kind of following this thread. I thought I would share my experience. I ordered 6 288 boards in 3000k with lmc561c s6 diodes off Alibaba. They arrived yesterday and I installed them on a 38"×38", 3/16 thick, 6061 aluminum. I'm running the 6 boards off 3 ELG-240H-C2100 drivers. When running I can rest my hand anywhere on the back of the light and leave it there. My tent dropped 6° immediately from 26° to 20°. The light seems much brighter them by 1000w HPS and MH. I put my Klein clamp on amp meter and got 6.5 amps off the 6 boards. So 120v × 6.5a=780 watts at the wall. 2 HLG boards are rated at 260 watts so mine seem to be spec. Any non confrontational opinions are welcome. I don't have an image sharing host so out of luck there. Here's a video but it doesn't do the light justice because it dims so you can view the light.
You might need to add some heat, low transpiration is kind of a side effect of the cooler lights. You might enjoy Grand Master Level's series of vids covering his grow with QB panels.

So I decided to order 2 boards from Russell for testing. Received them yesterday, Same layout as QB304. Samsung-LM561C,S6 ,3000K, A1 BIN, 28 series AND 8 parallel. I have tested the voltage at 700ma. The diodes look exactly like the ones off my Samsung strip just a bit darker due to lower Kelvin. The only issue I found is there is a few diodes that are soldered very skew. Measurements where taken about 1 minute after start up.

because s5's have a more visible dot and different phosphor color, see my post a page or 3 back.

Nope! That was random!
All LM561c in one spectrum look more or less the same no matter which flux bin it is. You can not differate the flux bins because of slightly differences in the phosphor layer. Also the ESD device looks minimal different from diode to diode but that means not you can differate them because of it.
We can differentiate LM561c from other diodes like LM561b+ but differences within the series are just randomly and do not say anything about voltage or flux bins.

Exactly.
With bare eyes and without a known LM561C you can't even differentiate between LM561C and LM561B+....
So please stop telling us that these are S6s.
You all should start measuring the forward voltage at a given current and temp in order to confirm if they use the promised voltage rank.

Sure he can, if he wants to talk shit.
I would be 100% okay with "According to a visual inspection, these LEDs seems like LM561C" but not with "these LEDs are LM561C S6".
Is there anything wrong with my statement you quoted?

.. he can say what he wants..get one of his panels

test them if you actually care so much.

and go stalk the big boys not this new guy who bought ten lousy boards

Pfff, whats wrong with you mate? Why do you delete your posts? I just pointed out that you can not verify a binning with your eyes. Don't you agree with me on that?
Actually you didn't. You pointed out you can not tell a lm561c from a lm561b+ from looking at it. Those are different series not bins. The bin would be lm561c s5 and lm561c s6.

i deleted my posts because i get sick of seeing me making too many posts ..and hate it when i get mouthy

i agree with what you say about eyes and binning..!

i know sfa about being a real tech the test measurement to me seems hard to verify since one cannot know the exact temp and we are testing vf through a whole pcb and the copper can come come into play i think too..but you would know that already?

i got my first panels from Russell too..was told they were s 6..after being questioned on binning i changed to
"supposed to be"..i ended up sending one of my panels[could not fit in a small sphere]
so he par mapped it..it was not as good as the hlg..was it the binning was it the copper trace amount..?
and the fact i had 560 leds instead of 304.[.mine was 6 x 22"] could have influenced the outcome

in the end they grow awesome stuff as good as anything i have seen and if i move it 1/4" closer it prob is the same photons on the canopy lol
..but mine did not test as good..
so now i have some 9 "x 10" .. 340 led s6<--oops..[supposed s6!!!!!!!!!!]
panels in the mail from a different factory who claims to make em for the big boyz..
i got more more copper in the board than the 1oz russell ones

***i will send one to cobkits to sphere test..we will see..***

maybe since you are qualified to give advice

then you should get one of the guys panels and test it..its a bit less arm chair general..

binning isn't everything from what i seem to sense

russell GAVE me 5 panels later on to show they were s6
theytested thev same by my quick test

there is no way he would pay more dough to send me something that wasn't s6 ..

itold him it wouldbe tested[though only by me against the frst pcb's

again:

i think efficiency may be also related to copper trace amount
and /or a finite amount of leds the current can go through
before efficiency falls off

i have no problem admitting my short comings..

i have[sinner] panels with561 b s3's growing herb as good as any of the others

its just light..and few % means sfa..but thats just me..ok and my plan s
all these samsung leds grow as good herb as th higher bins..it has to do with how close you arr to the canopy..the wattage and mostly your grow talent..

my only thought is that with the new factory..i have to pre order s6's
and russell seemed get em fast..a great guy to work nwith

:clap::clap: lol mate, you're super bright, hm?
I know you were really hoping I would receive "fakes".
Jesus, why all this hate?
False. B+'s have a much much more noticable esd device or black dot.
No, that is incorrect. The Bs have the black dot, the LM561B+ and LM561C don't. The B+ has a smaller die as shown in the video. Therefore the only chance to differentiate between C und B+ is by die size comparison. As you see, it is pretty easy to use LM561B+s, and sell them as Cs. Both will grow top notch weed and I REALLY HOPE YOU GOT THE RIGHT ONE!!!

EDIT: SORRY FOLKS! I WAS WRONG! LM561B+ HAVE BLACK SPOT so you can differentiate between B+ and C. Sorry for the trouble, don't know what happend thee with me.
