Cannabis Sitters

Am I the only one that wishes in the states that it is legal to grow, there should be services for homegrowers to hire someone to tend their crops while away. I've seen so many posts related to improper or poor care by someone taking care of a growers crops. I'm not sure how it would work since most growers are always nervous about letting anyone know they grow besides letting them on site. Maybe dispensaries could offer this service so that there is a more rigorous tracking and accountability?

Another reason I thank my mom for giving me siblings. They dont grow, or smoke for that matter. But they are down for their big brother. Its the saddest thing about this industry. We seem to only be fruitful with info and help online.

Its still so new to the light. the more I think about it, the only way it would work would be attached to a dispensary or horticulture shop. I'm 1700 miles from my nearest sibling and even farther from my parents. side note on that though, just showed my parents the garden on their last visit and both were very interested and into it!

I trust only my family and a couple of friends. Still I rather go with an automatic system to handle my grows.
Don't want to shift the blame if things go south. It's all on me.

This would be my optimal option. Any service I use would require someone to make a pre-visit in order to get in person instructions. I hear you on the blame game. Automation can fail too, and remote monitoring only goes so far, you cant make any fixes if problems arise. Plus an all automated system wouldn't be cheap, especially with a soil grow. My nutrients have to be used hours after mixed.

Lucky us technology is making grow rooms automated or at least gives us time to take a vacation. It will only get easier more mainstream it becomes.
I agree. I just went on vacation for 4 days and only had my brother come over once to fill humidifier and feed straight pH water. Cant mess that up too bad.

I don't think any company providing this service would be successful. There's no way I would allow a stranger to come in my house while i'm gone, especially to take care of my plants.

There's a big privacy issue here and most people that grow do not want others to know that they do. The company would also have to keep a database of some sort with a bunch of people/addresses that grow.

blumats (is a brand) are a passive self watering product, they are only suppose to release water into the soil as the soil dries. never used them but those type of watering devices have been around for awhile, chances are you have seen them before. often connect to a garden hose or soda bottle, heck heres a link: https://www.blumats.com/
Oh right on. my issue would be how to use organic fertilizers, as I am attending a funeral during my 6th week of fowering, doing a few water only feedings would be disadvantageous.

I live where I have zero fears of being busted, what I do is legal where I live. Where I am to be a part of the legal system you have to get a certification from the State, I don't see why a person couldn't get a license for that. If anything happens the state knows who was at your house. But again, I 100% understand not letting anyone in or near your house, I generally feel the same way.

Go to a bottled organic and feed weak solutions for maintenance while gone.....With those Blu-Mats.....
I do that with synthetic runs and water only for the SS organics....
Gives you a "life" outside growing.....
Used to have a helper. Came home and found cigarette butts on my grow building floor....He was done..... Got a few I could trust but, Blu-Mats don't smoke, or make a mistake...Unless you do, in mixing solutions...

cigarette butts!!! sacrilegious smoking tobacco near cannabis in my opinion. you're right, I would have to work with different fertilizers, if I leave fox farm nutrients mixed, gets funky real quick.
