Help with upgrades on my perpetual DIY closet

Hello from Brazil guys :bigjoint:
Hope you are fine, be welcome to my secret garden
I'll have some money to invest in my grow in the next month and obviously I'm here to ask for some guidance before doing some goffy stuffs on my grow, or expending in less usefull things.

on this topic you can see in details (not so much like should have) the process of project and building of my grow closet.

some changes happened between the project and the actual building, let's see some photos of how it's today.

Air Flow & Temperature
The temperature inside the grow is too high, between 28~34 Cº 82F~93F, summer here in Brazil, at least it's ending. I I know that the best way to get this down would be with an air conditioner, but I cannot afford for the eletric bill with one running, indeed I almost can't afford for the actual one

I have an exaust over my wardrobe that pulls the air from the cooltube in the flowering room at 265m³/h 155CFM, this is the only active air flow that I have in that área.
I have some passive air intake, too small I guess.

4 holes on the right side and one big hole between the areas

Should have more, right?

Veg area

Here I have a lot more of passive air flows and two actives:
one high and terribely loud 120mm Fan to take hot air out, on the left upper corner of the veg area
and a PC cooler for intake on the right side right in the way of plants.

Well, for this section is it.

How to effectively lower this temperature and get the herbs dancing with the air flow.

Light

Well for the light I don't have so much to change for the flowering, I cannot afford for Cobs now (maybe in 3 months I'll could possible buy it) and cannot afford a higher eletricity bill, so I'll continue with my Hps 250W on Super Lumens of Lumatek 250w driver.

For the veg maybe we could find some better options whitout consuming more wattage I guess.
I have 6 CFL 30w bulbs on a PVC pipe structure, but it can't effectively cover the entire area, maybe changing for a longer lamp that cover the entire grow IDK 120cm 3.9ft

Well guys, for now that is it, I have some more questions but is too late now.

Fell free to give your opinions.

Peace :peace:

Why not do a outdoor grow?

1 plant grown well outdoors
Will produce more then the closet all yr . And cost a lot less, and you’ll have more bud in the end.

I would take your $ buy good seeds
Start them in the box , let them get some roots n growth, so they can handle the jungle. I’m guessing you’d want to look for seeds that are mold resistant and can handle a high humidity climate, I’d look for a sativa more then a indica

Well, thanks for your help, but going outdoor isn't a possibility, here in Brazil growing weed is a crime, and anyway I live in an apartment and don't have how to grow outdoor.

I's why I need to maximize the production inside this wardrobe.

It’s a crime inside just as much as it is out side .
I have grown in the middle of a small city .
I have walked plants down bike trails in hockey bags . Just got to plan ahead .
Your probably safer outside too.

You have so much light leaking , you will never harvest a crop. Your asking for failure
If you take the money you have n buy some bud ; you’ll have that much more bud .

I know that’s not what u want to hear but
That box ante gonna cut it .

Well, I have to disagree with you, and I'll show you why.

I really can't grow outdoor, I live in the concrete jungle of São Paulo, nearest place that I could POSSIBLY find for safely grow outdoor is miles and miles away from here.

Never is a really powerfull word, indeed never means never and I already have harvested 2 times using exactly this setup, obviously isn't the best crops, but for sure is way better than the pot I could afford to buy.
Here in Brazil a decent and well harvest bud is so expensive, +- 3~6% of the minimum wage for each gram R$30~R$60, with my actual electricity bill I could buy only 3-5 grams of it.

This is what I bought last week...
lixo7.jpg Take a close look on the left botton edge.

And here is a pic of my best crop till now, waaay better than my first one, and for sure I will have better ones.

I won't give up, I'll try to fix all the issues with this setup and improve it even further.

if you have some money to invest, why not build a little bigger, tighter box with a better lay out?
put the flower area on the bottom, the veg area above. you don't really need an intake fan, the exhaust fan ought to pull plenty of air on its own.
t5 lights would do you way better than those cfls, if you can afford a 4 or 8 light 2 foot t5 fixture, you would get a lot better results.
look into quantum boards or strips, cobs are still good gear, but quantum boards and strips are as good or better, and produce less heat per lumen.
if you can vent the air from your cab out a window somehow, it couldn't hurt, if its just venting outside the cab, it'll just get pulled back in.

Ya I’m not into smoking bugs too

Can you build a light proof box out of wood?
I’d lose the small CFLs, and double grow in one spot.
Can u buy a T5 figure?
I would follow K.I.S.S - KEEP IT SIMPLE

I’m sorry , I’m not much of an artist

Hello man, thanks for the tips

I don't have space for a bigger grow, It could only become deeper, this change is on plans indeed, from 120cmx60cm to 120cmx100cm, I have some spare 6mm MDF to cover all the holes and redo if necessary.

And the air that the exaust pulls from the grow is going directly to a window, but the intake is getting arround the grow.

hum good idea about the T5 instead of cfls, I'll search for it, I have a lot of veg space unnused because of actual light coverage

Yeah, luckly you don't need to draw to eat.

I'll look for some T5 buildings to get some ideas, mainly for the veg área, and'll read the K.I.S.S.

The air can't exit by the root, it has to be from behind the grow.
