Neoliberalism has wrecked the planet

You just hate how well the definition of the term fits you, Buckwit,
Interesting technique.

“"Liberal" has been contaminated by American usage to mean left-wing, pro-big government, pro-big state spending. In their terms Hillary Clinton is a liberal. "Libertarian" has been similarly tainted by American usage, often equated with somewhat whacky extremism.”
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/10/12/neoliberalism-is-a-force-for-good-in-the-world-no-matter-what-th/

So it’s not uncommon for Americans to give their own misinterpreted meaning to English words, and while I do applaud you for riling up buck, he is no neoliberal. That’s insulting for neoliberals. Considering Hillary as liberal is ludicrous. Associating liberal with “left” is just as ludicrous. Especially neoliberals tend to be rightwinged. Buck is a classic lefty with his misplaced believe that minorities are weak and need help, even if they are fascists.

“for the leftist, leftism plays a psychological role much like that which religion plays for some people. The leftist NEEDS to believe in leftism; it plays a vital role in his psychological economy. His beliefs are not easily modified by logic or facts. He has a deep conviction that leftism is morally Right with a capital R, and that he has not only a right but a duty to impose leftist morality on everyone.“ - Theodore J. Kaczynski - stable genius mathematician

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoliberalism

Neoliberalism or neo-liberalism[1] refers primarily to the 20th-century resurgence of 19th-century ideas associated with laissez-faireeconomic liberalism.[2]:7 Those ideas include economic liberalization policies such as privatization, austerity, deregulation, free trade[3] and reductions in government spending in order to increase the role of the private sector in the economy and society.[11]These market-based ideas and the policies they inspired constitute a paradigm shift away from the post-war Keynesian consensus which lasted from 1945 to 1980.

It’s unabomber, but one should consider the content, not the source. Only lie in that post was the word stable, which was obviously sarcastic. I can still appreciate small parts in the bible even though I despise the source. Ted was a proper genius.

Wiki... did you read the second paragraph underlining my comments:
“English-speakers have used the term "neoliberalism" since the start of the 20th century with different meanings,[14] but it became more prevalent in its current meaning in the 1970s and 1980s, used by scholars in a wide variety of social sciences[15][16] as well as by critics.[17][18] Modern advocates of free market policies avoid the term "neoliberal"[19] and some scholars have described the term as meaning different things to different people[20][21] as neoliberalism "mutated" into geopolitically distinct hybrids as it travelled around the world.[4]” [read: especially in the US]

If I were a conspiracy theorist I could easily believe there are forces from both current main sides in the US to keep people uninformed about neoliberalism, the ruling flavor of politics for the Netherlands. Just as with communism, it’s not really the system that is broken, it’s the people who use it. Same with neoliberalism, it’s certainly susceptible to abuse. That’s why you have to mix it with a little socialism.

Nothing from your wiki quote describes something negative, did you become a communist? ( if it’s ok to taint the meaning...)

I appreciate parts of the bible too. That thin paper can be used to roll a cigarette or a joint in a pinch.

Other than bankroll modern fascists including warhawks of both parties in postwar America?

Besides justifying the greatest extraction of wealth from the middle classes to the upper class in human history?

I don't know where you get your financial education but it's high time you actually tried to study rather than just talk out your ass.

Their banking system is on shaky ground and the major banks of several countries such as Italy's are even now on life support.

The carnage is coming. I'm wondering just how much austerity will be demanded of the blameless average citizens by the bankers responsible for making the mess in the first place.

Iceland has shown there's another way; they tried and jailed their banksters for mismanagement and fraud and now the country's finances are on very solid foundations going into the current recessionary situation.

The rest of the developed world's banking executives are studiously ignoring their example, even while lobbying to roll back protections (such as Dodd-Frank) enacted to prevent the last crash just ten years ago.

it's not that i think minorities are weak, i just think unhinged fanatical fascist ideologues like you need shouted down.
The opposite of the first part does follow, the second part does not follow. Weirdo contrarian calling the kettle a fascist... all those fascists ideas you ave about re-educating immigrants are a product of your extremist brain. You are merely the extreme other side of the same anti-intellectualism coin that is destroying the US. Get your head out of your ass and take a few ethics classes you ignorant envangelical-protestant poisoned brain. Don’t deny it, Ted’s lefty description is spot on, that quote was just a part.

do you think we need to ['defend' or] 'preserve' "western civilization" from third world immigrants and muslim people?
Preserve some thing from world immigrants and muslim people? You sound desperate. Put more effort in it. Try to not speak in fallacies when you want my attention.

Do you think we need to adjust or stop reinforcing laws and ethics accepted as morally correct in western countries where people are the happiest in the world to accomodate for immigrants who do not respect the law, equality between man and women, the liberties my ancestors and great minds have fought for longer than your failed experiment of a country existed?

Preserve western civilization.. sounds like something conservative republicans do. Crazy fucker.

American logic: are you pro-life, anti-abortion, or do you just totally fucking hate those filthy embryos and want to go program Ultra on their asses?

We having a saying that goes: you know that, I know that, but the Belgium guy doesn’t. So it still works :)

Italy... not sure if touche or just a cheapshot example. I mean come on, what did you expect with Berlusconi. That’s just poor management. The neoliberal Netherlands, as one of the founding states was the largest net contributor to the EU for 15 years, all flowing towards too socialistic countries with inneffective overregulating governments.

Iceland was all because of greed (of especially non-Icelanders), a sin of desire, and not because of neoliberalism.

To be frank, I can see it going all wrong in the US because of the two party system. If neoliberalism would prevail it would have to get the majority. With a multi party system and cabinet they’d have to adjust to the wishes of others to form a cabinet. Ya’ll basically fucked then.
