What is height?
I use the blockbuster reflector and it works great for a 4x4 area. I would recommend that reflector, they are a bit pricey but they work really well.
Ok, and what about adjust a wing reflectors? Should I use medium or large one. M is 70cm x 55cm, L is 100cm x 70cm. I can buy them in local store, thats why I ask this. Also what size should carbon filter be? I will put it outside of the growing area. I watched a video with a Gavita employee , he said that its not good to have ventilation near the lamp area , many have that.
Thats a video with that info, great one
Venting a lamp does decrease it's effectiveness but in a small area like that if you don't vent your temps quickly get out of control.
Next question :D ,
1) Im planing to buy Nanolux dimm. for a 600w lamp, I wanna know is it true that it saves 30% energy and gives 15% more lumens like its said?
2) In a 4x4 place I wanna grow up to a 9 plants. With a medium AAW , 600w lamp, and Nanolux dimm. Would that all be enough? I guess with a great reflector like that and a good dimm I could get really nice light in a 4x4, what do you think?
It's going to get too hot in that area with an adjust a wing reflector , those nanolux are good ballasts for sure.
I would go with an air cooled reflector in that space , open air reflectors are made for larger areas that have air conditioning.
I will cool It , thats for sure, but I will put pipe for it above the reflector because heat goes up and the incoming ventilation will come from bellow. So, all in all, do you think this setup will give enough light for a 9 plants in a 4x4 area ?
Yeah you should be good with that if you can cool it , I would do 3 gallons or less of soil if you do 9 plants.
Thx... And what do you think about Gavita double ended lights? Is it worth ordering whole their package (bulb, dimm, reflector cost around 350-400 $ ) ?
