  • Really appreciate your insight. Sharing what you've learned has been incredibly helpful and I look forward to learning more about growing and particularly LEDs.
Just wanted to say thank you for making the videos that got me interested in making the switch to L.E.D.'s . Keep up the great work on here and especially youtube :) BB

    Hey man!

Just wanted to drop by and say that you are inspiring guy!
Just got my COBs delivered from Kingbrite, and i must say thanks for all the videos n' stuff.
Cool to see that ur into making it automatic. On that matter we are in the same boat, but i'm doing it much smaller scale.
    Best of luck man!
I apologize, I am a bit new to this forum. I was thinking that was a conversation starter, but I can't seem to get things figured out in the mobile site. I'll try again on a pc.
I just gotta say your you tube videos are the freaking bomb! So jealous of your garden and lights. This will be a god send in my mission to move to leds from hps. Thank you!!
I appreciate people looking 2 me 4 advice. This profile page is probably clunkiest worst ways to communicate. Q? will not be answered here
BTW, built my cree cxb3590 x12 @1050ma in a 4x4. Hoping this baby kills it for me. I see your S3 results were nice, would you consider the 1400ma better than the 1050ma now!
In one of your recent videos, you've added a tankless water heater for co2. Yours have a min psi? I bought one, requireso 3.6psi min. I want to use a small pond pump, but they don't put out that great of pressure. Just curious how you worked around this? Going to use a sprinkler valve, and control if from my arduino, use the house water, drain to sump. It only runs for a few seconds, not much water waste.
just have a quick question the cree XPEPHR-L1-0000-00901 DC forward current - white, royal blue, blue, green, photo red, far red mA 1000
they can run 1000ma max but the cree hort design has them using a 1050ma driver so does that mean i can put more though these leds.

im basicly going to build the cree hotdesign but with 30 sink pads not 16 as in their example do you think i shoulds add a few more reds ?

    thanks
just wanted to say thanks alot for all you do on the site and you youtube videos am ordering some cree deep red and royal blue for adding some light to my cfl grow i want to make a big array but is going to have to wait till i move because im working with a 2x2x4h tent :) just wanted to say keep doing what your doing man!!!
I'm looking for suggestions.I have 2-2'dx52"wx7'h spaces that need the correct amount of light.Cooling and heat dissipation are no problem. My final thought for each space is, 8- cxb3590 3500k's with 1-hlg320hc b 1050ma on a dimmer. Do you think this is overkill or will it work? I plan on using the round passive, pinned and predrilled heat sinks. I'm still torn on lenses. Any help or thoughts are much appreciated.
hey wanted to ask do you think 2 72v 35k cree on a MW HLG-120H-C1050B would be ok for my 2x3 space? want to get a led but only need a small one maybe 4 36v any info you can give would be awesome thanks.
Hey growmau5! i've Been following you for a while now and i got dozens of questions for you but i thought you might have the time to answer at least one: has anyone put together the different lifetimes of the 3590s at 700, 1400mA, 1750, and higher? i've always run them at 1400 but i am considering higher for more brightness and want to know the disadvantages besides additional heat
My main ? is I was thinking of a full square around entire tent and a strip in middle (12-14 COBS) using your kit(s) from cutter. Having never seen COBs jn person is this overkill?! Cheers dude keep up great work and ty again. Pt 2
After watching your vids and reading posta on RIU, im deff sold on cobs. Were I live its hot this time of year and electricity isnexpensive, to cool HID costs more to run em so getting rid of both and running COBs will pay for itself first harvest (baring it stays close to what I pull w my 1000w). Pt1
Growmau5, I recently picked up a pair of CXB3590s 3500k 72v along with a couple of the 140mm heatsinks from NGL. I have also picked up a hlg-120h-c1050b. I have a pretty small grow planned (24"Wx18"Dx32"H). I assume I'd just wire them in series and be done, correct? Thank you for all of your hard work on getting word out about these DIY lighting solutions, it is much appreciated.
