    Rdwc troubleshooting

those 2 pumps should be equal at least ! Depending on the lengths and layout of the water loops and their resistance, one pumps flow rate may be adjusted in order to achieve equal flow rates on both loops.

RO Water / Calmag with Soft Water Nutrients?

Now in reaction to @canadiantoker420 's plant pictures, if one would care, i don't see anything wrong with them either... Nutrients and watering look dailed in to me. Lush green healthy plants !

RO Water / Calmag with Soft Water Nutrients?

So many variables to say 'this or that' way, there are hundreds of different compositions of tap water around the world, combined with all the different climates and 1000 manners of growing. I for instance never managed to grow without adding loads of calmag products and epsom salts. Even when i...

Algae growing in new DWC, should I restart?! Help

i don't believe so. comparing results from only a few hobbyists who did testings with DO and ORP meters, both surface swell (flooming) and waterfalls reached compareable DO levels. + ive ran both systems myself, and couldn't see any difference on the plants. why bothering ?

Beneficial bacteria can I get away without?

Without perfect reservoir temps, i'm pretty sure you'll need them. Can grow with bennies in higher temp reservoirs, but the bacteria will make a mess of yr reservoir (leave waste) on a really fast pace due to really high microbial activity. i would opt for some way of water cooling. Picture...

Algae growing in new DWC, should I restart?! Help

lightleaks surely are a big problem , but the main culprit here is temperature ! cyanobacteria is your problem here. they DON'T NEED LIGHT to grow, and they love oxygen and all sorts of organics. they can survive safe concentrations of chlorine and H2O2. The only way to deal with them for once...

    Which pump for flooming?

The pumps open output circulates the water way better, and gives more surface agitation then if you would add a venturi and transform it into an airstone or air diffuser, which has been proven the least efficient. I citate: 'They bring in SO MUCH oxygen bubbles without an air pump its...

    Which pump for flooming?

No dude, it isn't. A venturi only has minor surface agitation. A stupid waterpump aimed to the surface brings in the most DO 'hands down'. The problem is, people see bubbles and they instantly think ' woow that must be a lot of DO'. it's kinda misleading, while in reality the bubbles rising...

    Test Upgrade to Waterfarm.

Even airstones combined with airpumps provide the minimum amount of DO, yet they are least effective. There are multiple reasons why to avoid them. moving the water around while rippling the surface, combined with proper reservoir temps = ultimate DO.

    Leafs pointing down dwc

Really how hard can it be for some people to understand ? they get told so many times and even start discussions about it. They buy ph perfect nutrients and then start fiddling with the ph and get all sorts of problems ! those nutrients are highly chelated to be available at a much wider ph...

DWC 3 weeks in seedling, advice needed

I allways used to grow in tap water in the past. it sits at ph 7.8 and has an EC value of 0.6. pretty hard and loads of alkalinity. Now with the PH perfect story i have no other choice then using RO water. now 3 days later it seems that she's still burning a bit, allthough i dumped my reservoir...

DWC 3 weeks in seedling, advice needed

Yes sir, they allways did in the beginning. i only started feeding at the first tri-leaf appearence. Some strains would throw rust spots so i would start low strength calmag, others won't. i found the colour of my seedling being a bit too light, so i started my calmag supp wich is 1-0-0. That's...

DWC 3 weeks in seedling, advice needed

Thx for the advice, the seedling was sitting at close to 0 ppm. without feeding ph never seemed to matter to me. Now in dwc, they seem te require slightly different fundamentals. Allthough i don't believe they require ph corrections without being ferted. here are some of my results from growing coco

DWC 3 weeks in seedling, advice needed

no roots yet, and i'm using AN GMB ph perfect for the first time. And from what i learned from the past, ph isn't important as long as you don't feed. I'm just not exactly sure how well the calmag xtra supplement is chelated. My RO water sits at 6.2ph. Yesterday the problem still advanced from...

DWC 3 weeks in seedling, advice needed

Hello guys, I'm relatively new here. i had 4 successful grows over the past 3 years. had pulled 350 grams dry from 400w hps. Now in DWC that has been a completely different story... After failing 5 times battling reservoir temps and root rot caused by it, i finally found to manage those...
