Do I need 24 hour under light or can I leave it in sun all day then bring it inside at night?

I did indeed pull some soil out of the way to see if it was damping off and it seems to not be the case so I left the soil like that to take a pic and see what everyone thought, do you think I should water them after I put more soil in and toothpicks?

Store bought from home depot its meant for aphids and stuff but i think those little green bugs are aphids and they just keep popping up and they are very fast and hard to kill.

Not sure what kind of insect but there's tiny little fast green ones that blend in well and sometimes a bigger brownish one that my insect soap spray doesn't seem to kill. I have to kill them by hand which is frustrating they keep coming back after I kill them all somehow
