Isnt the new AG just dwc anyways? the ones ive seen just have an air stone at the bottom, nothing else.

sometimes its hard to read the color cuz the nutes discolor it so much and throw your readings off though. I use my pH pen and the liquid pH tester though just to be double safe.

the guy at my local hydro store actually showed me this new cooling system, it uses water sorta like a cool tube. the light is encased in a class cooltube and has another glass tube around that and the water flows between the 2 tubes taking all the heat. he had 2 1000W hooked up with this system...

you can try and LST them. I had to do that with mine because they grew about a foot more than i expected during flowering.

well if your ph is off you can cause the roots to block out vital nutrients and water which could be causing this discoloration.

i use the AG 6. Same thing as the Classic just 6 pods instead of 7. I was gunna just remove the hood and put it on its own yoyo's and timer anyways so i thought exactly like you are and went with the basic model without the 100$ plastic armor that goes a foot higher

i dont know why everyone thinks the 150w hps puts out alot of heat... mine is a built in 1 unit with the ballast and ficture part of the reflector and it runs cool enough to be only 8 inches off my plants with the temps 75*

just to let you know... you're gunna have a hell of a time trying to get your girls out if you plan on leaving them in there for a while. Im only at 3 weeks with 5 plants and the roots already take up the whole rez and are tangled together pretty bad.

could be the nute tabs or ph... i had the same problem with my plants leafs looking like that(but at only 1 week old). i had added the "Starting nutrients" that they supplied and thats when it started happening. I Flushed the resevoir and added normal water*ph'd* and everythings back to...

i prefer to have my fan on them as soon as they sprout. All my stems are sturdy and thick as heck compared to my last batch which rarely saw any movement*no fan in box yet XD* just keep it at the lowest setting that barely causes the leaves to move, or if you dont feel comfortable with it you...

yea, i was having the same problem when i first started using my AG to grow "tomatoes" Just added a nice strip of reflective tape around all the edges and my root rot problem solved itself. Pearly white roots now ^_^

general rule of thumb with lighting is put your hand at the tops of the plants and if your hand is burning, so will your plants. normly hps need to be a foot off the plants but with my 150w hps i found 8" to be comfortable for my babies. The guy at my local hydro store had his 150w hps only 6...
