Ya, its debatable. all of the leaves are healthy, no dead tips, i think the hairs may be all dead cause its close to the light. its the tallest of my plants, so i adjusted the height to the rest of them. If its not making any new hairs could it still be bulking up?

ummmm, if there is no direct sun, they will pretty much die off. and are they vegging or in flowering? cause either way, if it is getting unatural light within its dark period, it will hermie, if it doesnt die.

it depends on how the growth was where you cut. they will be sprouts if you topped it very close to the top of the plant, or they will already be existing new branches that will become the tops.

each pair of branches. there are pletny of diagrams for topping out there to look at, that might help

I nomlly top it at the 3rd or 4th node when it is 6 nodes tall. cutting the top 2 nodes off. then maaaaybe if i feel lucky, top those after the new branches are at 4 nodes each. makes 10-16 tops normally :-) but let them veg for like 3 weeks to heal COMPLETELy....

How many nodes are you at? nodes ar each set of leaves up the main stem

haha i know that sounds scare if you have no idea about topping... but when you top it, the 2 branches closest to the cut become the new tops. where you cut seals itself, and stops growing, and it makes your plant start growing outwards as fast as its growing up. some say it makes more yield...

K, so every single one of my plants except for 2, now have these... It is a brand new branch with full sets of leaves. they are now an inch long. coming out of where the preflowers should be coming out of. :-) i planted 18, was hoping for 8 females... i now have 14 females, and 4 that i cant...

I already said they are happening on females... and they arent male flowers, the are new leaves, in pairs, with 3 leaves each.

So, as of this morning, 9/16 are growing these same things. I hve 6 strains. It's not just 1 strain that is doing this. I know that plants look different depending on who grew them, even if they are all clones from the same mom. Could this jut be a trait of "my"weed? Random new branches comin...

Id love to hear what these will turn into... its not like fimming that has an extra branch come out of where another branch already came out of. its growth pointing straight out where a preflower would be. does this mean its a very healthy plant? or powerful vegetative strain? will it grow bud?
