Ive heard of it but only for LSD not shrooms. Bullshit quite frankly. I also heard a slight variation where a person thought he was a banana and thought people were going to peel him. This wasn't while on the LSD though it was afterwards, post effects.

I would think the heat would most likely break down the LSA, hence why a cold water extraction would be more beneficial.
