That sounds like the smartest thing anyone can do. You can read anything from anyone and all the opinions you can stand but in the end the only way you can know for sure is to try the different light cycles and determine what is best based off your own first hand findings. Very smart way to go...

they had the "slight vertical look" because at night the plant is reaching out and looking for light that isnt there. Thats why 18/6 plants stretch more vertical and 24/0 plants will stretch more horizontal
