    Aloe Vera in flower

You say that, I see lots of people saying that, but I don't know where they're getting this idea from.

    Aloe Vera in flower

Are you talking about using it as a foliar spray or watering with it? I would not do any foliar spray in flowering. As far as watering with, I used to do it a couple times a grow, in both veg and flower. I quit using it though, due to aloe having antibacterial and anti fungal properties. That's...

    back to lime

I'm with you there...I have had some hard soil at times, but I'm starting to think I don't use enough aeration in my mixes.

    back to lime

Do you ever need to add extra sulfur in your mix? I found some soil acidifier for hydrangeas that is just sulfur, but was afraid of lowering my Ph to much.

    back to lime

Is this where the dolomite lime, Ca and Mg ratio being unbalanced with cause your soil to harden, started? If it is this is why I stopped using lime.

    back to lime

I used azomite in the past, probably still some in my mix, but quit adding it because people said there was concerns about the aluminum content. Do you not worry about it?

    back to lime

Thanks Wetdog, that was exactly what I needed to know. I'm moving away from the OSF due to shipping cost, trying to get away from shipping all the heavy stuff. Any harm in using a little of both the pellet and powdered lime, just cover the Mg? I also use gypsum and greensand.

    back to lime

Haven't posted in awhile, but after more reading I'm doing away with oyster shell and going back to lime. Just wanted to make sure I was getting the right thing.

    Harvesting Aloe Vera

Getting a little off topic, but thought I would throw this out there. I use aloe in my smoothies now, just got to get rid of the bitter part.

Vermicomposters Unite! Official Worm Farmers Thread

Sounds about right...my paper towels tear in half sizes, I think i could use a full piece as fast as they are eating. As far as how often, I would just check that most of the food is gone before adding more, right now I am adding food about once a week. I started off using newspaper too, and...

    Aloe Vera care...

I just use the aloe gel just like you would, cloning gel. Cut off a chunk of aloe and dip your cutting into it, get the aloe gel all over the stem. Plant the cutting in a mix of peat and worm castings.

Vermicomposters Unite! Official Worm Farmers Thread

I used to throw about a handful on a paper towel, wrap it up and bury it in the corner. Now I spread a layer on a paper towel, like putting jelly on a piece of bread. Look at DonTeslas Post on page 37, post #735...The worms are eating up the food much faster now, since I started doing it this way.

Vermicomposters Unite! Official Worm Farmers Thread

If the worms were escaping, it means the conditions in the bin weren't right. Could have been to wet, dry or acidic. I also started off with a worm factory 360, and just like you had the exact same problem. There came a point were I almost tossed it all out. But after some reading and messing...

    Aloe Vera care...

I started off with just the one aloe plant...I have been pulling the pups (the new offshoots) and planting them...have done that with three, got another waiting to root...and four new ones popped up.

    Aloe Vera care...

Aloe is a good plant to have around. I use mine for cloning, ditched the store bought stuff. Very easy plants to care for, mine just sit next to a window, give them some water from time to time.

I have been using this mixture for awhile now. 2 parts corn meal 2 parts oatmeal 1 part egg shells throw it all in the blender. I started off just sprinkling a little at a time on top. Worms seem to love it.
