update for those following, it is in fact male. I found another hidden preflower that was clearly a "ball on a stick", and many more forming.

ive read the articles on this before, and I too suspect this is a male. I'm just trying to get other opinions before throwing it out. thanks!

it seems it's showing signs indicating sex, but I am too novice recognize it. Is this a recognizable male/female? (or is it still too early)

i'd say a good rule to stand by is veg 4 weeks from seed, then flower. the more you can veg the better though, maybe up to 8 weeks depending on your method of growing - you'll get more yield (assuming you have a strong light setup).

oh well, they ended up dying. no big deal. it was fun for a couple weeks. too much work though - too hot to grow here....

so it seems there is a lot of mold and gunk in the root system. The aerogarden sponges are covered in mold. I decided the only way these plants are going to live is if i get them in something else. So i've pulled them from the sponges trying to keep as many roots as I could. Pics are below...

the roots have actually be causing some problems... the largest root just fell off after week 1. The plant has grown since then and started new smaller roots which look a few thicker shorter roots now. The roots are brown but I've read that flora nutes stain the roots brown. Not sure if it is...

from the FAQ i think it might be nitrogen deficiency? So, too many nutes or not enough nutes?

hopefully someone can help me. plants are 13 days old, they were looking great the first week, but growth has slowed down considerably and leaves are now turning yellow. I've got an airstone in the res but that doesnt seem to be helping. I'm using flora nova nutes (2.5ml in the gallon)...

jojaxx... just because there is a furnace doesn't mean one spark will blow it all to bits - you watch too many movies. You can take a lighter and hold the flame next to the furnace and nothing will happen. kushking - is this the type of furnace with a flame at the bottom? just make sure...
