Depending on how tall you let it get, you may have to stake it... I'd say if planning on being over 4 foot tall, stake it... I had 2 ladies 6 feet tall(with container) fall over a few weeks back because she wasn't staked, but I also had 1 1/2 to 2 oz colas 14 in. long and as big around as soda...

May take a week or more before you see any growth, you shocked the hell out of them with the cold weather (if the weather was below 50 degrees 24 hours a day).... They'll come back around in a week or 2... Patiance man....

You have to start somewhere, There are plenty of good experianced people on here who will help you with your grow... When your ready, start a grow journal and you'll get help from start to finish... When you get a chance, tell me what kind of set up you had with your first grow, soil...
