As for cloning, I have harvested and reset my lights to 24/0 they looked funky but took clones off of that and they grew just fine.

Yeah I just use a cheap magnifying glass from ace hardware, once you see it you'll always know what your looking for.

Man, my first grow had all purple stems. Some of the finest herb I've smoked. Some plants do that, try adding a bit more nutes, a small bit. Otherwise don't get to worked up over a non issue. Chill they will be okay. If any other symptoms pop up hit us back.
