yo liquor i like my garands as well! was the stock cracked to be replaced? me i like that old stock you have over the new one. i have a m1a that has a cracked stock, right at the wrist pin. debating on getting a fiber glass replacement for it. pic below....1942 dated garand and .45

top of my wish list for rifles is a 1903 springfeild rifle chambered in .30-03 it was the next rifle and cartrige that came out to replace 30-40 krag. the .30-03 was not in service long, i think 3 years tops..goverment replaced the round with .30-06 .
