As @dtl420 asked, what kind of soil and have you added nutrients to it at any time? The edges look like they're burning. As far as watering for new growers, I sometimes point out that in nature it doesn't rain every day. Seedlings need even less. I've seen plants growing out of solid rock.

How old is your plant? I don't see much going on for an auto.
