    Does inadeqaute watering effect yield?

Currently 89F with 97% humidity where I'm at. I feel you guys too hard. Ventilation is always a fun challenge.

    Controlling the stretch

I've read a lot of people claiming it will stress them out, cause herms, blah blah. I supercrop regularly until a week or two into flower sometimes. Defoliate quite a bit too and never had any issues. If I'm expecting a lot of stretch I'll supercrop then tie them down, forcing them into an...

What type of light bulb can you leave on 24 hrs to view plants without disturbing it's bloom cycle?

Green light is used. I'll continue to laugh at anyone who uses some magical green cfl thinking it does nothing.

What type of light bulb can you leave on 24 hrs to view plants without disturbing it's bloom cycle?

I would think since moonlight is just reflected sunlight you could equate that to a low intensity light small scale. I'd argue that since those green cfls are such a low wattage that is the real reason people think they don't harm the dark cycle for short periods of time. I'd just use a real...

What type of light bulb can you leave on 24 hrs to view plants without disturbing it's bloom cycle?

Same. I open my tent all the time at 'night', never had anything happen. However, I'm not sold on the idea that green light makes it any different. Especially just a white cfl with some green filter on it. There are very specific wavelengths that are claimed to not be absorbed, 530nm I...

REALSTYLES 6th DIY CXA 3590 5000k DB bin

So awesome man, loving every second of it. Coming from the days of star pcbs it's nice to see some real results for the non-believers... if they're even still around. Currently in the process of recycling my old t-slot heatsinks from makersLED (link) for some cxb love. So ready to get rid of...

    Defoliation, a scientific approach...

lol wasn't trying to start pissing on anything. Was just curious to see if OP had seen the technique. I'll defoliate until the day I die personally. If I'm feeling lazy and don't mainline the bottom 20% is pretty much always taken care of on top of lst with or without topping. Plants look...

    Defoliation, a scientific approach...

Have you ever looked into mainlining? There's a thread over in the organics section that you might find some useful info in. It's lengthy but if you're after the science (like myself) it'll be right up your alley. Nugbuckets has done some serious work experimenting with it. Link is HERE...

    Are LED's practical for a grow room? (24 ft x 12 ft)

Oh I know, still really enjoyed how they put the video/comparison together. Even still the final results favor those silly spectrums over everything. A DIY on this scale would be amazing.

    4 Bulbs on 1 ballast?

Interesting idea. I'm just curious as to what it is you're trying to achieve by having essentially one huge light vs say a 600w hps and 400w mh for the spectrum with cooled hoods? I'm no electrician so I won't comment on anything wiring wise but it seems a bit unnecessary to me for only 1000w...

    Evaporative cooler options

Our central is set to 72, the tent is pulling in air around 78 give or take. After seeing that graph it made me think I would have a decent environment for the cooler. Even over estimating the temp and RH I'm hoping for a 10* change. Getting more excited to get this thing every day lol.

That a CMH? Loveeeeeee those bulbs.

    Evaporative cooler options

Surely I would have checked and made sure of that before buying anything. The room is a small laundry room that isn't a whole lot bigger than the tent itself. Didn't want to distract with specifics, hence the sake of argument. The ambient RH raises to 40% max ambient. Hell if anything when the...

    Evaporative cooler options

That's the thing, I bought an over sized exhaust thinking I'd be able to throw a controller on it and dial it back to get a nice quiet/efficient setup. Now even when I max the fan out the temps don't move it seems. Even with the exhaust being ducted elsewhere and 72* ambient temps from my...

    Evaporative cooler options

Right. That's pretty awesome actually. The humidity in my area is pretty high... bordering oppressive... however my tent is consistently below 30% so I'm hopeful. Should be delivered in about a week, I'll update what happens if anyone is curious.

LED lighting users? NEOSOL DS question

I'm a firm believer that when it comes to LEDs the spectrum should be perfect because you can make it so. Idk how these awful purple spectrums came about and still are out there selling for thousands, not that they won't work, but theres so many better options with LEDs IMO. There's some REALLY...

    Evaporative cooler options

Fair enough. I'd be happy with it even dropping the temp 10 degrees in the tent. If it got too humid would turning the exhaust up help out at all? My fan is like 10x what I need for the size of the tent.

    Evaporative cooler options

Hello all, trying to bounce some ideas off anyone who knows how these work (here if not). I already have a window unit that works great, but I am determined to get my energy bill low as it gets hot as shit here and the AC costs more than I'd like to pay if other options present themselves...
