The first of my trichomes are beginning to change color to that amber. How long is the window, how long does it take for all the trichomes to change to the auburn?

becuz of rain and wind, my biggest branch with the biggest nugg snapped off the rest of the plant, as puna describes it, my "donley dick" snapped off. none of the trichomes are amber... is it still worth drying out and smoking or will it be shitty and not worth it? lemme know ur thoughts, thanks
