There's discussion of the Arc series here. Edit: I see you spammed the end of that thread too, never mind.

    Flowering with Cree bulbs

Another way that works well for me is just to leave the bulb on for a while until the heatsink heats up. Then with oven mitts on, grab the heatsink and the globe, and take the globe off with a firm twisting/prying motion.

135 w black star possible to flower with nothing else

That "135W" UFO is only going to draw like 80 watts at the wall (probably less). You need to cover an area of 2.25 sq ft which means at best you could get 35 watts/sq ft. With Blackstars and other Chinese panels you need at least 50 watts/sq ft of real draw to have a quality harvest.

Choosing a light for my clone box

Interesting, I didn't know they sold a floodlight version too. Same wattage, and only 650 lumens vs. 800, but the directional light should more than make up for it. Thanks, I'll look for it the next time I go to HD.

Choosing a light for my clone box

Hi, I'm making a clone box from a Sterilite tote and instead of CFL's I'm going with household LED's for better efficiency. I'm stuck between these two lights: 2x Cree 9W 5000K with bulbs off, and Y-splitter in an 8 1/2" or 10 1/2" reflector 18W 1600+ lumens, non-directional about $37 for 2...

    First grow, plants died overnight!

They live! They were looking like shit for a while and I wasn't sure if they would make it. The wilting continued for a couple days after the transplant, but when new roots started to grow out, things started looking up. Now they're back with a vengeance! Pics from 7/2-7/18:

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

No, Growblu is just rebranded Cidly (Chinese brand) with a big markup. That 120x3w is an Apollo 8 - http://www.cidly.com/Parameter.html For $1k you can get 2 Area51 SGS-160's and put those Growblu's to shame. I considered that, but guess I wasn't totally convinced that a 56W panel can match...

Those are out of my price range right now and overkill for my 2' x 1.5' space. Just looking to get started with a budget but still quality panel. When I step up to a bigger tent A51 or Apache would be at the top of my list. Slightly amused by your posts I must confess...you have the grammar of a...

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

After some more reading, it looks like the Pro Grow 260 is pretty dated tech...I don't think it's worth $400. I'm looking into some of the better Chinese panels instead. BSLED Helios 210W http://www.bsled.com/led-grow-light/h160d-210w.html Cidly Apollo 6 http://www.cidly.com/Parameter.html...

Hey guys, I'm trying to decide between these two panels for a 2' x 1.5' space, for both veg and flower: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-New-300W-LED-Grow-Light-9Band-IR-Flowering-Hydroponic-LED-Grow-Lamp-Panel-/390567591853...

    First grow, plants died overnight!

I read about it here. It's meant to be a soil conditioner/pest preventative. People have done it without ill effects but I'm pretty sure it caused my problems here. Right before the treatment, my soil went from soaking to dry in 2 days. After, the pots were still heavy 3 days later. Yeah I...

    First grow, plants died overnight!

OK, I'm kicking myself for not thinking it had something to do with it, but I added NEEM OIL to my last watering. I think that's what caused the problem. Did it after reading about using neem as a soil drench here and here. I used 1 Tbsp/half gallon of Southern Ag Neem Oil (70% clarified...

Dyna-Gro vs Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur (AK47 Grow)

Sounds good HB, looking forward to those results! Another question...do I need to add Mag-Pro or Pro-Tekt to regular waterings (with RO water)?

    First grow, plants died overnight!

Bump with some details: I'm growing in FFOF with 25% perlite and a standard amount of dolomite lime, transplanted into 1 gallon smart pots 1.5 weeks ago. Environment is at 55-60% RH and 82-84 F. They're under 8 26W CFL's. Runoff pH the last time I watered (2 days ago) was around 6.2 and 6.8...

    First grow, plants died overnight!

A week ago, I noticed a weird-looking leaf that looked more diseased than dying off naturally. I didn't think much of it because it was just one lower leaf. Yesterday my plants were still looking OK. This morning one of them just looks completely wilted and dying. Leaves start having...

Dyna-Gro vs Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur (AK47 Grow)

This is confusing...I read up to page 16 of this thread and jumped to the end here. Back then homebrewer you were saying a ratio of 1-3-2 for flower is good and thought that AN lagged because of high N and not enough P. That was 2 years ago. Now you're saying Foliage Pro is superior to Bloom (at...

    LBH's 4 way lst tutorial (w topping sub-tutorial)

Thank you LBH for the guide. I'm following this and the scrog guide for my first grow. Sorry if this has an easy answer...I'm still unfamiliar with the growth patterns of cannabis. Where are the 4 mains supposed to be? The two new branches growing out of the 4th node and two from the 3rd node...

    Shriveling leaf tip, diseased?

I have 2 plants, 3 weeks from seed, and there's this one lower leaf that has a dried up yellow-green tip. It doesn't look like it's dying off naturally, almost like a disease creeping up. Other parts of the plant look pretty much healthy. Should I cut it off? Here's a wider shot. They're in...
