The differences in hydroponic methods. Is it all just bells and whistles?

IMO, it's about synchronizing and maximizing everything that the plant can use. Assuming the the basic climatic conditions are spot on the plant can use more co2, more light, more nutrients, more water and more oxygen at the root base, but they're all relative. It can only use so much light...

Ecoplus submersible pump - how to convert it to inline?

You pop off the filter cover and filter and screw in a 1/2" mpt adapter.

    Help w/an aeroponics question???

Sounds like you're short on water or DO. Can you describe your aero system?

Pump was off for ~12 hours

My worst: 36 hours, no mist in an aeroflo. Luckily I had left about 1/2" in the tubes, which I think kept them alive. My HIDs went ahead and smoked the closest of the buds for me :(

    Cloning aeroponics

I've always dropped rooted clones into the net cup and gently surrounded them with hydroton. I don't know why you would possibly need the rockwool at this point, they're already rooted?!?!?

    AeroFlo 36 lighting question

The actual footprint for the canopy is about 4' x 4'. The 36 is, IMO, perfect for a 1000w lamp.

    SoG Grow Room Discussion

Hey SOG, I see you got the pink shit hung. I hate that job, makes me itchy as hell. Just wanted to say it's coming along nicely!

    SoG Grow Room Discussion

You should install an adjustable damper to control this. They're just a flap of metal in the duct that you can use to restrict flow from the side that's moving too much air, thereby forcing more air flow from the other side.

    Mist da plant

Nutramist suggests using their ultrasonic nebulizers (fog makers) for direct foliar feeding. I guess the tiny micron size of the drops lets the leaves absorb the nutrients/hormones/amino acids/whatever very easily. You could probably get away with that as long as the RH wasn't really high...

Aeroponic Growers .. I need advice or a mentor

Opinions are like assholes. We all have them. So what the hell... Here's mine. Once dialed in for the strain, I think that you'd be best off to follow it through flowering. I add airstones to every reservoir. There's no such thing as too much oxygen. Although your sprayers will ensure...

    Mist + Fog...si or no?

Well, most define aeroponics as growing a rooted plant with no mechanical media. Other's will break it down to a maximum micron size for the mist. And still yet, the most common method of aeroponic branded growing simply involves low pressure mag drive pumps creating a micro spray in the...

    Mist + Fog...si or no?

What you want is a mag drive pump. Sizing is complicated. There are friends on this site that can help you determine what you need, once you get the details of your sprayers sorted out... I've heard the EZ-Clone sprayers are top notch. I haven't tried them.

    Lets talk AeroCloners

Ya know, I've been thinking the same about a longer off time. I've been reading how some strains do better in wetter conditions, and some better in dryer conditions. BTW, I run the CAP ART DNE. It seems to be ok for what I do, but the daylight setting doesn't seem to be useful to me. You can't...

    Home built Aeroflo2

I leave a small amount (1/2") of water in the tubes, only as a buffer in case of pump or power failure. I'm sure my plants would generally prefer me not too, but it's already saved my crop once, so I'm going to stick to that. If you clone or seed in here, you keep the water level at the bottom...

    PUMP sizing in AERO

LOL... I remember the first time Earl linked that for me. Not that I'm ungrateful, but I'm wayyyy too lazy to have ran over and fired it up. Maybe now, I'll have to get off of my ass and go check it out. I've been thinking about adding an inline screen filter before the misters. Have you thought...

    Home built Aeroflo2

Flush is 3-4 days with Flora-Kleen. Here is another tip: Also, alignment of the spray lines is key. Try to have the jets hit the exact point where the water surface meets the wall. This will maximize misting/aerating the NFT. Use all chemical nutes. Contrary to what I've heard on the forum...

    Mist + Fog...si or no?

You'll find that if you adopt a ground-breaking technology, there is nobody around to hold your hand. You'll have to be the guinea pig. I think that would be a good starting point for the sprayer timing. Definitely keep us informed!

You lose line breaks if you use quick reply. Why not just clone in your aero system?

    pro's and cons of lighting

...Another point of consideration for you to ponder. This is interesting. I have two (roughly)2' x 2' x 2' mothers under four 4' Blue T5s. Internode spacing is tight (less than 1") even at new growth at the bottom of the plants. In my flower box, I ran 2 600w HPSs on a 4' x 5' footprint. The...
