    Incredible mushroom display...

Thanks for the replies. As much as I love mushrooms, I don't ever feel confident in my abilities to identify. So for now, my quest is really about using them as dyes (mixed with simple mordants like salt and ammonia) for wool yarn. My yard is a haven for mushrooms. A large patch of amanitas in...

    Incredible mushroom display...

But what are they? Northeast. Prefers growing in giant clusters, particularly under birch (I know this isn't a birch in this picture) Would love to know what they are. I have two northeast mushroom identification books and neither address these. Any thoughts?

    New England outdoors 2016

I had a meter reader show up in an unmarked truck when I was getting out of shower. You can imagine. Lesson learned- nothing gets planted within eyesight of a meter, well, or tank (fuel or septic). Jesus I almost fainted...

    LED lights advice

I can tell you I am very happy with the LED I purchased. Some strains like it better than others. I went for LED to save on electricity and I didn't want to deal with replacing bulbs, heat issues, etc. Everyone has experiences to share with lighting which reflects their preferences. Good luck.

    who is growing some trees????

Survived yesterday's storms. Couple broken branches but no significant damage.

urgent! ! broken plant and wonder if I can clone

I would be more worried about who or what did that before I hung around to do too many repairs. I've intentionally snapped these branches. Sometimes I use duct tape- sometimes I don't. The plant usually (there gets to be a point where it won't if the apical stem becomes too damaged) bounces...

Do most people top outdoor plants?

I did on this one but I have others I have left alone. Like most say - depends on strain and what your motivations are.

    New England outdoors 2016

I don't post very often on the forums but thought I'd share a female clone off unknown strain that I've had great success with in the past. She is right in the garden and about 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide. I'm hoping growth will slow soon - it needs to remain discreet and that's becoming a...

    Wild mushroom identification wanted

I liked ve in New England. I keep finding both these types of mushrooms in clusters under shrubs, growing out from the bark mulch. Can anyone help me identify them?

First grow. LED. Sex question. Grow log.

And bump your humidity up- 35% is on the low end. Could be wicking all the moisture from leaves. I kept mine at 30 in a room with plants at different stages of growth and the ones in veg did not thrive with such dry conditions. Just my opinion. Good luck.

First grow. LED. Sex question. Grow log.

I'd transplant into bigger pots than what you have in those pictures. Add dark period to their schedule (24/0 causes plant to take longer to form those preflowers/flowers), IME. Are you exposing those to LED and outdoor light?

And this is what happens when we mess with nature. Big pharma will certainly profit but not to the extent that they have historically, with drugs such as antiemetics, narcotics, anxiolytics, and anticonvulsant/GABA analog medications. I hope I'm right, anyhow...

    King led lights

No male flowers that I can see. But then again, lots of bud sights and intense lighting make for short viewing sessions. I don't need cataracts. Definitely seeds as the calyxes are splitting open and exposing the actual seed. The pic is from leaf I cut last night. All the sugar leaves have...

    King led lights

Thanks. Excited to see when they will finish since the mother grown outdoors went for 13-14 weeks. Again though, I had some issues and was accidently exposing the plant to outdoor lighting during night hours (motion flood lights). Not sure if that caused the long flowering time, among other...

    King led lights

Like I said- outdoor buds seemed so much bigger but the indoors has way more trichomes. 1000 watt led is about 18 from canopy. These plants didn't have the healthiest start ( see previous post ie cold temps/ poor lighting) or maybe I'm missing something? This is my first indoor.
