QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

PPFD is a measurement of PPF for an area. So you just take multiple measurements and average the numbers to get the PPFD of a given area. Since the meter measures a single point you can get this info from the standard output.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

I am in a way. I'm making the prototype now. We will see though. I'm getting messages daily about it but I don't expect the first campaign to hit record numbers, most people want to buy after they see a working model which is fair. Especially after talking about the 600W for $600 option.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

To be fair I'm using house and garden(A&B) for coco, Mammoth P, Botanicare Calmag +, and TM-7 in 30 gal fabric pots. Zero deficiencies and I can skip a week of feeding without issues. I'm under 4000K and 2700K same across the board.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Slight update. I'm waiting to hear back from a company that gives a better rate at lower quantities. If they will ship to me then Ill be able to drop the required funds from 300K to 100k and drop the lights cost by 100USD per item. Since there has been a bit of buzz around just buying the boards...

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

Might be because it takes more time to layout the board with them in that fashion than a straight line with a minimal space savings. However I do like how they mount their boards on angled aluminum which gives me an idea. Its also much cheaper to use the LM561C since they are an older component.

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

Fair, however these were all the same plant via cloning. I've grown all the way through veg and flower with 2700, 3500,4000 and what ever spectrum the 315s are. I'll be able to test more when my room is all one style of light and I can move my 4000k to be only veg to show the dramatic...

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Thanks! The way I see it that's less than 500 600W lights with some donations to win one. The boards are waiting on parts that are on backorder. I'll be posting more once I have the boards running. No I didn't consider using a bus but I may experiment with it. The 600W driver has two sets of...

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Share the crowd funding around anywhere you think someone might be interested! That's support enough for me. As I said I'm making my room use these light exclusively. Makes summer growing smooth sailing not needing AC

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

That's correct it can only be wired in series. The 100W boards will run at 44V (the HLG-600H-42). Again the SL can not be bought for the 3000k anywhere. Samsung's spec sheet says they are there.. but their representative said they are not. Making SK the only viable option. Dimensions per board...

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

It's in there somewhere, but I'll post them again. The boards are planned to go to 200W with a heatsink and 100W without one. Color accuracy is important to me which is why I chose a more accurate diode than what HLG uses. Instead of using the whole binned option I'm using the Macadam 3-step...

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

I was able to pull them from other companies that use them to cross reference the data. Samsung was also very helpful.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Yes I did take that into consideration. Yes its all currently off of real world calculations that have already been taken for the LM301B SK 3000K. Thats how I know they are accurate. Ive been around on the LED side for a good bit of time as many people around here know.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Its based off of the LB301B SK 3000K stats that are available. You can look at the drive current and get a good idea of the output. Once I have the prototype in hand Ill be posting videos, taking photos, and doing PAR mappings.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

I hope to fix that. If I can negotiate a lower price I may be able to cut off $100 per unit, but that only can happen with a large order.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

The components are in route, I have not decided if I will be using my work for production of the prototype since they all say there is a cheaper place thats about a 30 min drive for me. Its a low quantity run to make 10 boards and I dont get the perks passed on. Ill see if I can take photos...

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

It does help that I work in a production place that has the tools needed. The only one that doesnt come with a driver is the entry level LightWave1. All others have a driver and anything else that is required ready to go.
