Late harvest buds hiding webs? But no spiders. Very confused.

I've ended up throwing away the few I've found. Is it not dangerous to smoke or does it just affect the taste or what?

Late harvest buds hiding webs? But no spiders. Very confused.

This is an extreme close-up view of the inside of a dense, hard top I just harvested. For reasons I won't go into this harvest waited over three weeks after I wanted to harvest. I've looked in each since this but so far have only found it in this one and one other out of about 12 tops that...

Sudden black spots and dying leaves - but not on entire grow. Very confused

As I mentioned in my post these are photoperiod Blue Dreams and Northern Lights in soil. Normal level nutrients (Fox Farms Big Bloom). Someone also asked if I checked for bugs under the leaves but they're clear. And I should add this is a carbon copy of my first grow of the year with the...

Sudden black spots and dying leaves - but not on entire grow. Very confused

Some time in the past week these black spots suddenly showed up. They're causing the affected leaves to dry and become crispy wherever the dark spots occur up to and possibly on the buds. This is my fifth crop with very little other than equipment changing and that's been two crops ago. These...

    Watering without disturbing soil

That's a damn shame. Any idea how they got in to begin with?

    Watering without disturbing soil

I looked them up. If you're talking about the clay ones it looks like you can still get them. Never heard of these before now, thanks!

    Watering without disturbing soil

Love those pics. It's been a couple crops since I did photo's but on my first one I used the 4gal with two big hybrids. I started them in the larger pot from the beginning so I didn't up-pot but since I wanted to try re-vegging I pulled them out of the 4gal, cut the sides and bottoms like you...

    Watering without disturbing soil

I'm enjoying hearing all the different ways people have found to do this. I've noticed what you're describing when the plant wicks it up from the bottom. My pots are the kind that are solid down to about the last inch or so where the plastic is an open mesh so that makes it easier. Normally...

    Watering without disturbing soil

Well damn, hadn't thought of that either :D A combo of those ideas would really save a lot of time. Thanks!

    Re: MH wattage per plant

I really appreciate that. I've been resisting figuring it out for some stubborn reason but your guide there is too simple for me to make excuses anymore haha. Someone should make a simple excel guide or something so you can just go down, enter your info and get wattage. I might have to play...

    Re: MH wattage per plant

Thank you. I'm starting to feel better about the setup now. I take pictures of all my steps like crazy and I need to put up a journal. I'm about three grows in now so it's just a matter of organizing them and uploading. Keep putting it off lol. Thanks.

    Watering without disturbing soil

Excellent. Well that's what I'm going to do then. I have a big bag of BT from my last grow so that's all I should need. Thanks man!

    Re: MH wattage per plant

Thanks for the details. I had a feeling it might not be as simple as I'd have liked. It's an air cooled hood - about 20"x12" with a 600w mh/hps bulb (have both for doing autoperiods) with an adjustable ballast (50/75/100%). The tent is 48"x36"x70" and the four plants are close together in 5...

    Re: MH wattage per plant

Thank you. I'd found the basics for cfl's but couldn't seem to find anything specific to hps or mh lights but I knew it was different than the cfl's.

    Watering without disturbing soil

Wow, that's about the most innovative but simple idea I've seen. Do you just get like sandbox sand or something else? Also I suppose a bag of small river pebbles would work too - just rinse them good first.

    Watering without disturbing soil

Excellent idea, I hadn't thought of that. The one I have isn't detachable but I could probably figure something out. Really appreciate it!

    Watering without disturbing soil

I'm currently growing four potted autoflowers and I need an idea for how to water them without always messing up the soil on top. I've tried the "shower" type watering pails but since I'm using ScrOG I can't easily get the watering head in there. I've thought of cutting some felt to place on...
