    Jacks for Dummies

Ok well ignoring the past few post getting off topic, I've used jacks tomato feed for about 3 months before getting aquagold. I didn't want to ship 26lbs internationally, and a friend sent me some eventually. Tomato feed works, don't get me wrong, but I had time to do one grow with it before...

First grow week 7.5 flower!! When to harvest?? :)

I don't like to flush 2 weeks, I just drop down the nute concentration last two weeks working down to 25%. By then, my pots need to be watered everyday, and I always feed, then flush next watering, then flush, then feed, ... The last 3-4 days are water only then cut.

Veg till she can't veg no more!!

I tuck branches for the first 2 weeks or so. When the stretching slows I stop. The stretching doesn't however, so over the next 2-4 weeks you'll get branches growing up above the screen giving you the typical Scrog look. But for the first 4-5 weeks (estimating here) it looks like a green table...

Why Are My Plants Growing Slow???

what about your topping the plant. That can slow it down drastically depending on how and when it was done...you've always topped this early on (whenever it is you did) and in the same manner?

    My first grow

You did great man, you got through the first grow!!! Don't limit yourself to forums threads, there's a lot of iseful info on the net and in books to. But there's a lot of not so good, or misleading info. Go with what you feel works best and works for you - and recognizing what the plants like...

    My first grow

Yes I reduce amount by basically doing a percentage of the recommended dosage per gallon. But you could work it out by adding extra water - with 1 gallon with a 100% dose of nutrient water, if you add another gallon of plain water it's now at 50% nute strength....Just make sure you know how much...

Why do you newbs always grow auto's?

Quoted for the truth!!! Well spoken brother :D

    My first grow

Keep in mind, for the no flushing, I don't give them all sorts of multi mix of nutrients with extra additives... Only cal/mag (I'm in coco), a sibgle nute for veg and another for flower. And I do reduce the dosage towards the end, but so the plants does consume its stored sugars. Exactly when...

Why do you newbs always grow auto's?

I couldn't agree more!!! I love fem seeds (other than being more expensive!). I haven't been browsing these forums for ever, but I've seen more first timers start small than big personally. Or I don't pay attention to those first timers going big. Either way I've always recommended the simpler...

    1st indoor grow..

It looks like your fans are just sitting inside the box to move air around. Do you actually vent anything out of the box and suck in air to exchange it at all?

Why do you newbs always grow auto's?

At least don't knock fem seeds for newbies. Garanteed fem is a huge plus for a first grow. And for autos, with regular seeds on your first grow, where most start small with 1-2 plants, i calculate an average of almost 10 weeks just to sex the plants - i imagine most new growers would flower...

    ive had an accident :(

I broke a stem when weaving my plants in my screen, just before flipping. I taped it up and tape is still on there now, 1 weeks away from chop. I kept it a little loose, like just not to tight and that branch is now flowering one of the biggest bud on the plant. If anything take it off in a...

    My first grow

I don't flush anymore, 2 weeks prior to harvest. But I also don't feed with complex multi nutrient brand recepie. "Keep it simple stupid" is my preference. I tried flushing because like you, I read everywhere to just do it, but after researching more into and trying a no flush grow, in never...

    Feminized Plant Questions!

I can't answer for reverting if it goes outside now, but feminized seeds are created by stressing a female plant (spraying colloidal silver is one method) until it creates males flowers, when you then pollinate another female plant with this female pollen, you get feminized seeds. Regular seeds...

    Help

Keep the MH bulb for veg if anything. Some people use it all the way through.!HPS for flowering yields more, but it's light spectrum is more limited. With the MH bulb you get more UVB which are said to make your buds more potent. Ideally, a mid of both is ideal, but you can also supplement the...

First Grow - White Queen; Seedling Leaves Cupping Up

I like to keep my seedlings warm and humid even at that stage. Halves (cut it) of plastic bottles work great as mini humidity domes. I like to keep mine in small pots or jiffy pucks, being small, I can have them on a heating mat when I need to raise temps, I like to keep them in the low 70's...

    general hydroponics nutrients range

Pick a starting point and just go for it. Be it a feeding chart, or what I've done is start at 25% of recommended dose in bottle (wasn't GenHydro). Then you watch the plants see if it's too much. If so dial it back, other wise increase it a bit more the next feeding, until you tech your max...

    Makin' Some Beans (Blueberry Fem)

The silver spray alone is going to force it to flower? I thought you had to keep the plant in flowering timings as you sprayed the silver.

    First time CFL Grow

Heh, takes me back! Was so worried about finding out their sex on my first go...got lucky with my mystery gifted seeds, they must have been feminized because all 10 I sprouted so far all turned out fems. Give them a good little while and keep watching them. Male flowers develop faster as a they...
