Hey, thanks for the reply. I think the heatsinks I'll need will have to be larger than that as I will run these lights at 2100mA, giving each one about 109w of power. I'm looking around still and checking in with people, but I believe if its to be a passive pin heatsink will have to be around 180mm?

Humboldt Seed Organisation, anyone try their seeds?

At about 10 days from planting, maybe 13-14 from germ. Pheno #1 is the most vigorous on this HSO 707HB. I really wouldn't have made a post other than to share what pheno #2 is looking like. The derp plant. Phenos 3&4 are twins from the same seed. Not sure I'll keep #4. May not even keep #3...

Humboldt Seed Organisation, anyone try their seeds?

I set out the 3 HSO 707 Headbands to germinate a few days ago. Two popped a day or two ago and today I opened the paper towel to find the third has seemingly sprouted 2 sprouts from it. Not entirely surprised as the third seed was an oddly shaped larger seed from the pack, makes sense. I'm...

    Paradise Seeds review

Reviving this thread it looks, lol. I'm currently trying to pop some Paradise Auto Vertigos at the moment. Small, grayish seeds. The first was a no go, however the seed shell did crack. In the interim I managed to get a heat mat for germination and now I'm trying to germinate the second one (2...

Humboldt Seed Organisation, anyone try their seeds?

Got a 3 pack of HSO FEM Amherst Sour Diesel and 707 Headband recently. Going to pop them soon, just waiting on the remaining amendments I ordered to ship for a complete re-amend of my soil mixture to really bring it up to what it should be (see Coots recipe). I will post up/contribute here when...

    First foray into breeding

I've been trying to understand this as well in relation to the cost of some of these packs of seeds. Expensive packs of 10-12 seeds, where is the justification for such a price? If the justification is that someone can buy a pack and take them home and grow them out, make selections and continue...

    First foray into breeding

Hey Don, just to start, breeding is new to me so I am not any pro or anything. But it is my understanding that in this situation of pollinating 4 females with the 1 male. I think you'll get a mix that would show traits of both parents in the F1. If the male is passing on undesirable traits, you...

Maintaining hybrid vigor in an IBL

I'm new to breeding. Been studying up on it for some time. Ran across your other post with a lot of info in it (relating to BC, etc.) too. I'm curious at this point in how to maintain IBL, or to say, how to maintain specific cultivars and how to stabilize them and continue with them...

Patenting Strains & the Future of Cannabis Intellectual Property

HAHAHAHAHA. Fuck patenting cultivars. The only patents that should ever be applied are the ones relating to open source seed banks and patenting to ensure that genetic combination remains public domain. I'm sorry, I'll never respect anyone's patenting laws regarding genetic material. If it is...

    Breeding (collective information)

Sucks that the www.gardenscure.com page with the numerated posts on a lot of different subjects doesn't seem to exist anymore, at least I cannot seem to open it. Any idea why @SCARHOLE?

    Breeding (collective information)

I'll be reading through this more extensively. What I am curious about at this point is the preservation of heirloom cultivars and landraces. I would like to eventually get involved in breeding for new and novel traits however. Some things I am trying to understand are, if you acquired seeds...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

@CaptainCAVEMAN Yeah I noticed that too when I read through this thread. A lot of missing photos near the beginning. I was frustrated wanting to see people's beautiful organic flowers but to no avail. There are others throughout the thread that are missing. Sometimes if I reloaded the page...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

Interesting this suphur burner you speak of @ShLUbY I'll have to check it out. Your post reminded me of essential oil diffusers/atomizers. My friend has one from dōterra: https://doterra.com/US/en/p/usage-aroma-ace-diffuser It diffuses/atomizes the oil into fine vapor that saturates the air...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

My biggest question that I held off on asking this whole time reading but which never seemed to come up: So we build this base mix with various elements, peat, coconut, EWC, leaf mold, rice hulls, etc. All most of these elements have a half life and break down in soil except for certain inert...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

Ah, the EWC/Vermicompost. So I had been recycling my kitchen scraps and trying to close some material loops at home with my red wiggler friends for some time. But only now reading this thread did I get the idea to amend my bin (soon to be bins) with certain elements that I'd like to...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

Whew! 392 pages and 7,814 messages read later! Hahaha. Finally made it to the end of this long thread. It becomes even greater of an accomplishment as time goes on, lol. IMHO, it's well worth it to read most of the thread or at least the first 70-100 pages as a few have already suggested...
