I haven't ever tried one. Should have actually put one on for this year...

That's hot even by my standards! It may get stinking hot here but at least it's dry. Can't stand stupid humidity

I always laugh when the Kiwi boys I work with complain about 30 degree heat. Im with you, hot is the third day of 40+ and the mattress starts to get hot!

Keep the ants under control with surface spray and ant sand around the pots. The aphids don't bother me so much if the ants are under control but if they get out of hand the soap spray is first and then pyrethrum. At current count I have eight chilli types sprouted. Hopefully it's going to be a...

I honestly love this time of year. Few busy weeks of preparation and then I'll have a long summer of kicking back with beer, buds and veg with only minimal tending. I'm a pretty lazy gardener, everything is set up early to basically look after itself :bigjoint:

Great tasting Chillies, I really like them. Rate them up there with habs for flavour. My poblano, aji lemon and Tasmanian habs have all sprouted. Will have to get pictures when I get a chance. Bought a cubic metre of compost over the weekend so have a busy few days preparing garden beds now...

I always have a string or two up somewhere. Love making my own powder and use a bit of it.

Another sauce worth trying if you come across it. Packs a solid kick Also a chilli plant update. They seem to be settling in quite well. Might need to lower the flood level slightly though.

Worth tracking down. Same company also makes the Kaitaia Fire chili sauce which is also worth a try. That's a nice stash you've got there. Little bit jealous

I'm liking the fruit\chilli sauces recently. This Kiwifruit Habanero is one of my current favourites. The other is a killer hot sauce from a Mexican place in Melbourne. Asked the owner if I could buy a bottle and he encouraged me to steal one. Since it's made fresh there and has no...

    Yet another newbie first grow...

Busy couple of days so I'm only just getting around to this. Was away for a few days and when I got back there were amber trichs all over the top canopy about 1:50 and the majority of the others were cloudy. Since I'm away again tomorrow I decided to call it and chopped. I was hoping I could...

Knew if I looked around long enough I'd find where the pocket of Aussies were hanging out... if you don't mind I'll hitch along for the show. Already warm here so my group of three seedlings have been outside for a week or so now. No idea what they are, mate found seeds left over in an old grow...

Will do for sure. Just wish I had as much space as some of you guys to grow all the chillies I actually want!

Thought I might throw in a couple pictures since it's coming to that time of year. I'm using my chillis this year to test out a few things. Have one each of Jalapeno and Cayenne in a Flood and Drain, Run to Waste and my own potting soil (mostly compost and horse manure). Want to try some more...

Well I have a dilemma. Hermie problem has resurfaced with a vengeance. Number of nanners is up and they seem to be setting deeper into the buds in larger bunches making it much harder for me to try and control them. Everything has been kicking along just fine so I think it may be just a bagseed...

If you could give only one piece of advice to a new grower

Well it has to be "Use the search function" doesn't it? That's the answer to just about every question you could ask. Aside from that. Don't give advice to other noobs until you've got a couple decent grows under your belt. It's hard enough as a noob to sift through hundreds of opinions without...
