    Just some thoughts on Tomatoes.

never tried cucumbers indoors, i would imagine you would need a ton of light for just 1 plant as they spread out pretty far. as far has hand pollination goes, I usually hand pollinate my tomatoes. Nothing works better then an old electric toothbrush.

    Just some thoughts on Tomatoes.

I decided a few years ago I wanted to grow some indoor tomatoes. I talked to some friends, did some research and decided to get it a try. This is the first time i ever tried to grow anything inside ever. I had no experience with lighting, feeding, or growing. My first attempt was the most...

    55 gallons of pudding

why? I can get a physics, cooking, chemistry and gun safety lesson all wrapped up in to one. Plus, if i posted a 55 gallon drum of pudding exploding, you know you would watch it. :) interesting side note, for those of us who remember downloading the anarchists cookbook from our local BBS...

    55 gallons of pudding

20lbs seems like a lot, i can't personally speak from experience, but i watched someone blow up a ford bronco with 30lbs of it.

    55 gallons of pudding

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this. So me and my child have been discussing the idea of blowing up a 55 gallon plastic drum of chocolate pudding. The drum is easy enough to find, and the pudding isn't hard to find either, they sell 45 lbs boxes of pudding mix. I would need...

All COB Users - Lettuce Grow Challenge!!

Can't speak for the mag side of the cal mag, but my understanding is you can help stave off leaf burn with some calcium, but with that said, if you are using tap water, you may have enough in there. My setup used the same res for both tomatoes and lettuce, so i added cal mag, I never just grew...

As far as lighting goes, you will see some weird leaf structure with 3500k, they will be thick and hardy but will grow well. I really like masterblend, i use it for all my grows. With things other then lettuce I like to add some other stuff directly to my pots like: FoxFarm Bushdoctor Microbe...

    Growing in Missouri

Im not reading your post and seeing this, im not trying to be a pita here, but im not seeing it. It looks like every other states rules on this. They make the bar for entry high and this goes to people that can afford it. As far has home growing goes, i would think that people of Missouri...

All COB Users - Lettuce Grow Challenge!!

I grew a bunch of greens, the first time it wasn't great, but i got much better at it. I like much higher K lights, maybe 6000k to 6500k. As far as CRI goes, i would not spend the money on high cri lights for lettuce, you can grow lettuce with an incandescent light bulb. It really is pretty...

    Growing in Missouri

Here is the full text of the new law https://www.sos.mo.gov/CMSImages/Elections/Petitions/2018-051.pdf its written like, well, a law, so there is a ton of jargon in it and it would be nice if a lawyer could distill it down for people wanting to either grow at home with a license or become a...

    Growing in Missouri

Starting Dec 6th (i think) Missouri will allow us to grow 6 plants for medical reasons. You must get a card from your doctor to allow for this. I want to talk about the best setup for a 6 plant grow space. Tent size and light setup. I don't really tent grow myself, I have a large room that...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Yeah, it will be easier to just go out and get some small sheet metal screws and drill out pilot holes for them. pilot-hole drill-bit size will depend on the size of your sheet-metal screw. size-4 screw should have a pilot-hole drill size of 3/32 inches size 6, 7/64 inches size 8, 1/8...
