Plants not responding to treatment. Deficiencies worsening over time. Mephisto & Humboldt Freebie Run

Just my 2 cents: Sounds like too much humus in the mix, between compost and ewc you're at 60% of the total mix. Next time go for more like 20-30%. Did you add any of the Dr Earth amendments to the original mix? Or just top-dress? With organics it's really hard to catch up once you get behind...

    Exausting outside of grow room

Oh yeah you should be good then. 2800 Watts is just a bit over 23 Amps (2800/120 = 23.33). You could use two 15-Amp extension cords if you can split the load evenly between them. Edit to add: for continuous-duty stuff like lights, heaters, and dehumidifiers, I'd try to go with the NEC...

    Exausting outside of grow room

A tripped circuit breaker is, visually, somewhere halfway between the "on" and "off" positions. It should be pretty obvious once you open the panel... With the generator and extension cords, the Watts/Amps you should be concerned with are what your equipment draws, not what the generator is...

Pots or bed for a sustainable living soil?

I guess I should add, I recycle my soil but I don't do no-till in those planters. I usually dump them out after every flowering/fruiting round, sometimes every other, and add more fertilizer, worm castings, perlite, and sometimes just regular bagged potting soil if the mix is starting to get muddy

Pots or bed for a sustainable living soil?

I have two of these thingies in a 3x3: https://www.agardenpatch.com/ They fit pretty well, with just enough room in the middle to fill them with water comfortably. Here's a couple pics from my winter/spring grow, and also tomatoes in the same space. We got a few dozen good ones, but they just...

Pots or bed for a sustainable living soil?

Usually with living soil, the bigger the better, within reason. I would go with something bigger than 5 gallons, but a bed is a major commitment. Personally I use sub-irrigated planters that hold 11-12 gallons of soil, and that works for one or two small-to-medium sized plants (can be...

    HELP MOTHER PLANT AND CLONES

Oh yeah, one more note about pruning the mother plant: pay attention to the growth structure of the plant to ensure it will grow back readily. You don't want to cut off everything except fan leaves, you need to make sure there are still some nodes with fresh growth tips intact, and also some fan...

    HELP MOTHER PLANT AND CLONES

My advice (sorry in advance for the long post): If those clones root, I'd just start a new mom in a new pot with fresh soil. Can't exactly tell from your posts above, but if you still have the original huge mom, I'd cut off 80-90% of the above-ground growth (don't be shy about taking off...

    Leaves curling upwards

I don't know a whole lot about coco, but I do know you're supposed to water at least once day, not let it dry out, and give pH'd nutes with every watering. So all that is probably a good place to start. Good luck!

    Leaves curling upwards

I've never grown in coco so probably not the best resource, but they look over-watered and possibly over-fed to me... How often/much do you water? Could also be a pH issue if you don't pH the nutes. I used the GH flora series for a couple grows and the pH always needed to be lowered a bit after...

    Leaves curling upwards

Recharge and DE don't really contribute to the plant's nutrition one way or another. It's important to know whether you're using FFOF or coco because the recommendations for how to treat them would be very different...

    Leaves curling upwards

Sorry, I saw you mentioned that after I posted... Simple stuff like citric acid can work to knock back spider mites, or at least keep them under control, especially in veg. Or beneficial insects, they will never build up an immunity to getting eaten. If it's not a full-on infestation, the...

    Leaves curling upwards

Why are you using the Prozap thing in the first place? Doesn't sound like something I'd want around my plants that I'm going to ingest later... Edit nvm I see the bit about mites. They don't really go down to the soil so I don't think the DE would do anything for them either I agree with Budz...

    My 2024 Sunshine Grow

Hopefully it goes well. I used hempy buckets for my first few grows and couldn't get the hang of it. I've had much better luck with soil and dry amendments (mostly Espoma "-tone" products). Haven't tried using synthetic nutes in soil but I know others do it with success. I feel like the biggest...

    Timer error

The extra 15 minutes won't make a difference, most hybrids only need about 10 hours of dark before they start flowering, and some growers will actually flower on 13/11 thinking it might increase yield. The one thing that will definitely prevent flowering is an interruption to the dark period...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Fwiw, I used a pump similar to this. They're cheap enough you could just get one for each SIP if you wanted... https://www.amazon.com/Fountain-Submersible-7-2ft(2-2m)-Aquarium-Hydroponics/dp/B07SGMNKRP/ I know some folks have set up float valves in the res for larger SIPs, not sure if that's...

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Beautiful looking plants! With that many separate buckets it might be hard to automate watering without getting overly complicated, unless you have an automated way to drain the runoff as well (actively or passively). I've successfully gone away for a week or so and used a very small...

    My 2024 Sunshine Grow

Hope you don't mind me commenting, if not please let me know and I'll delete. I've enjoyed seeing your previous grows and appreciate the low-effort approach. If you don't mind me asking, what do you plan to use for fertilizer? Liquid or dry amendments?
