Just did slurry test one pot was at 6.94 and the other was 7.18. Can you use ginger and water to bring down ph quickly?

I've checking my water with meter straight h20 and when I add nutes is this wrong? I'm old school guerilla grower trying to learn new techniques

I only feed nutes every third watering

I check water with a ph meter and dirt with a probe meter. Is there a better way to check ph in soil and or water. I use tap water but I let it sit for a day or two befitting using.

I use catch trays under my pots and water each pot till I see runoff in catch trays then allow water to soak back in pot ffof allows water to run right through and then soaks it back up.

I use grow big for veg and tiger bloom for flowering. I use 2 teaspoons per gal of water. I feed every third watering I grow in five gal pots. I usually water every five days or so. And give each plant 1/2 gal of water.my tent stays in the 70's with and average of around 38% humidity

Just checked ph with my meter and its reading right at 7 on my meter.
