I thought you should never run ph'd water only in coco (ruins the buffer?). Feed every watering, check the run off and adjust feed so your never overfeeding, and won't have a reason to flush midway. If you do over feed and need a flush use a 1/4 strength feed solution

Where are you measuring temps? Do you have an exhaust system?

Thinking I could stagger the hps to turn off 15 mins before the leds, and get a pair specifically for leds. The flash bounces off the side with no lights on, @Kkesu, I'm liking the combo of led and hps, dont think I'd consider favouring one or the other completely. But it turns everything quite dull

I know you can get lenses for hids and leds that give you a real view of the plants under the light, im running a combo of both, are there any that do both? Cant seem to find much of anything. Thanks :)

I started off with 2 450w ViparSpectra in a 4x4 they were ok for veg, your right though, probably needs a minimum of 4 (2.5ft by 2.5ft coverage each) to cover the whole area effectively for flowering. I had to chuck in a 400w hps to cover the space.

I knew it wasn't going to increase yields, was asking the opposite, if I'm removing some larger fans am I decreasing yields? just though more penetration into the canopy onto the leaves that weren't getting so much light would make up for the ones that were removed. Like I say, i don't...

Tents 4x4x8 2 x 450w leds ( 207w each), and a dimmable hps that's usually on 400w, but can go either way depending on temps, I think 3 or 4 would be ok. I'll send my address in the post, where a I sending it again? ;)

Yh I was pretty much set on feminized seeds, had a look at autos, don't think they'd be as rewarding, I had fun training these. Any recommendations for a strain?

Is it not effective to remove some some leaves (pruning?) My canopy gets out of control, I find removing leaves helps with humidity/circulation, I only remove fan leaves that are touching or blocking light into the canopy. Now it seems i have more bud sites. Am i harming yields, eg exposing more...

Ah, sorry my bad. I should get enough to last me a while out of this one, so I've got time , not sure how much bud to expect tbh. I'm gonna try to start from seed get a few different strains going at once. And I've still got a cutting of this depending on how it turns out. How about you? Already...

I've got 2 ViparSpectra 450w on either side at an angle, and a dimmable hps usually on 400w, depending on temps. Can't remember exactly how long in veg, possibly 10 weeks give or take. Some beautiful plants being posted, making me doubt what to grow next

Got 2 ViparSpectra 450w running at the sides of a 400w hps, plants seem to love it. This was week 3 2 days in after the switch (I retrieved the hair in the pic as well :wall:) Edit, I've got the LEDs at a bit of an angle for more penetration. And I lower or increase the hps depending on temps

If it helps, I've got 2 450w ViparSpectra in a cupboard just a little larger than yours and they do great on there own, but I feel like I should have 3 450w , or 2 600w in there for them to shine. I "supplement" with a 250w hps that I crank up to 400w when it's a bit colder. The combo definately...
