Is your intake sufficient to let your current fan move the air? I assume it is, but just wanted to toss that out as I have seen folks struggle when the intake was not sized large enough to let the fan "Breathe" and it was just working like hell and not really moving much air. Hope you get it...

A few house hold leds with the globes off would be more than sufficient for a little 2x2. A few years back I vegged for a bit in a 2x2 with 5 9w bulbs, worked great. If you are flowering small clones for pollen, you don't even need that much light.

Pretty much has to be a light schedule issue. Problem with the timer itself or one of those situations where the house wiring/timer/light are not playing well with each other causing the light to not fully turn off during the dark hours.
