Did I do my clones wrong?

If worse comes to worse, I can try again. But this is what I did... Took cuttings from lower part of plants, put in water. Cut 45 degree under water and made small nicks with xacto knife under water. Covered wet stem with rooting compound. Placed in pots that are a mix of 1/3 Perlite, 1/3...

Fluoros & warmer lights for flowering?

Ok, another question about changing lights to flower... I had poster earlier and someone said that a HPS for flowering is the way to go. But... in regards to Fluorecents; does changing to a warmer bulb/s (3000K) do any good? The space is 3ft x 3ft with six 3400 lumen, 6500 K(daylight) bulbs...

75 watt bulb in a 40 watt fixture?

Does anyone know if you can safely put 4 foot, 75 watt bulbs into 40 watt Fluorescent fixtures? I saw at Lowes that they had 75wt fluoro tubes. But anything I have seen (or have) as far as hanging shoplights are all for 40 watt bulbs or less.

Do "warmer" lights really help flowering?

Just wondering... does switching to warmer lights (more orange/yellow) really help the number or size of flowers?

    allergies to pscilocybin?

At first there were no problems, but after dosing 2-3 times a week for over a year I noticed itching when dosing. Even after holding off for months... the same symptoms occured. Benedryl at the start of a trip helps now (50mg). There have never been any recorded deaths from Psilocybe...

    where to get mollases from

I use "Bio-grow" from Worm's way. It is a molasses based organic product you use with every watering to soil grown plants that gives a constant low dose infusion of nitrogen. Good stuff and will not cause burn. As far as flowering: "Bio-bloom" (also an organic molasses based product) is a...

    syringe for shrooms

You can get syringes at the Farmers co-op. They use them for giving animals shots. Just go in and tell them you need some 20 guage 2 inch syringes to give your large dogs shots. Works every time and they are dirt cheap and sterile.

    storing shroom jars

Yes, heat is what starts the growth of the mycellium. The ideal temp range is 75- 78 degrees ambient air. In other words; the air around the jars should be 75-78. The temp in the jars tend to be about 3 degrees higher than ambient. Thus... 78-81 will be the temp in the jars (ideal internal...

    Super Cropping

I have heard of this before. An old farmer (real farmer) mentioned it once years ago, but I never really understood it until now. When should this be done? can it still be done at the very beginning of the 12/12 cycle with decent results?

    Mushroom kits

I went to that site and it came up as a laundry list of mushroom sites, kinda like "bizrate.com with no specific "kits" to buy. If you really want to get seriuos about being a "kitchen chemist" go to Mycotopia.net. Search the archives and ask questions. But... I will tell you this much so far...

Organic Bud can Look Better then hydro!

Yeah, Fox Farm "Ocean Forrest" is the shit. Big fat wide leaf babies that grow like crazy. After 3-4 weeks add Fox Farm "Peace of Mind Fruit & Flower" monthly to replenish the nutes.

    Nutes.... Foxfarm or Earthjuice?

Bat guano is good. I use it about twice during a grow. I also use Fox Farm soil and it is the best. If your kids are suffering... Bat guano may not absorb fast enough. That would make me think that a "quick fix" may be in order. So... since Fox Farm products are top shelf and liquid nutes that...

Molasses vs Big Bud vs Purple Maxx

I have been using Molasses since the babies were about 1 month old with every watering (package says it's safe to do so). But, looking at the nutrient information on the bottle... it seems to me to be just a regular low concentration nute feeding. You know, just enough nutes to keep things...

here's a question for my plants that are in flower

A friend of mine cuts his lights for 2-3 days mid way through flowering and says he gets bigger buds. I tried it and only noticed a small increase. Actually... the darn things looked healthier than before I killed the lights for 2 days. Who woulda thunk it?

When should I change to "warmer" lights?

At what point should the lights be changed to warmer/yellow lights for budding? currently using flouros that are "daylight" mixed with "cool white". As pre-flowering begins to show sex ? after 12/12 is reached? after baby buds appear? any help would be great. Thanks.
