ask you local hydro shop for a pyrethrin fog and use this as a spray with the fans off. treat like this once a day for a few weeks and mites should be gone. when i say spray...just turn the fans off and fog the room for 30 seconds...not letting the whole can fog like you would set it and leave...

i had trouble with my papaya seeds the first run also. try and put your plate were they can get a little heat. i sat mine on top of my cable box. others use the top of the computer tower. just enough heat to keep them warm and not dry out the paper towel. hope that makes sense.
