[FONT='Calibri','sans-serif'][FONT='Calibri','sans-serif']I need to start building out my room soon and have to make my final decisions so I can order everything. I've been reading on the forum for the last 2 weeks and it has really helped.

The grow area I want to build out is 12x5 and the overall room is 10x10. I get the extra 2' by removing the closet doors.

I will be using an ebb & flow bucket system which I will be building myself. I will have 2 reservoirs and 2 controllers because I want to stagger my grows. 12 -16 finishing each month.

After all the reading I've decided on 1000 watt HPS for lights.

1st ? cooltubes or standard air cooled reflector:confused:

I would like to use digital ballast. I was thinking about using 240v Lumetek. I've already run my 240v line to the room.

2nd ? Should I use Lumetek or another brand:confused:

I've been reading about concerns with 1000 watt dig ballast.

3rd ? Should I be concerned:confused:

I was planning on cooling my lights by running ducting to my attic then through the lights and then back into the attic. My only concern here is I live in the desert and my attic gets really hot in the summer.

Any ideas? Or should I not be concerned:confused:

I originally wanted to run a Can 100 carbon filter through my lights and then into the attic, but if I do that I will be exhausting my CO2 I’m injecting into the room back out. So I will run the Can 100 filter with the fan blowing into the room. This should also help cool the room.

4th ? Is this right or should I do something different:confused:

2 reservoirs and 2 controllers 12 – 16 Plants
Can 100 with fan
CO2 tank

I hope the drawing I made attached also it's not showing in my screen.

Thanks in advance for your feedback:hump:

I guess the drawing I attached with the document didn't come through.

Can someone explain to me how I can attach:confused:

I see lots of people attaching hi res photos and drawing to their post and I can't figure out how to do it.

Thanks again

Well after lots of reading and talking with the guys at the hydro store I've redesigned the room again.

For now I removed the CO2 because I was told using a can filter and venting the outflow out of the room also takes the CO2. I would really like to use the CO2 and believe its very benificial. I was going to use a CO2 generator but heat will be a major problem for me living in the desert.

Any ideas?

I already have 1 AC vent in the room from my central AC. There's also a return which I will probably be converting into another AC feed from the central AC system. The reason I switched to the 600 watt lights related to heat also. My buddy at the hydro store said he switched to 4 600's from 2 1000's because of heat problems. He said he didn't notice any drop in yeild and he feels he gets better light coverage with 4 600's.

I increased the size of the room and actually put the frame up today. The new dimentions are 12x7x8 and I will be growing 15 pots under 2 600's. I will be doing staggerd grows. The room was going to be too tight at 12x5x8.

I'm attacing a drawing and any feedback would really help me. I have to start the final build out in a week to 10 days. My babies just finished the 3rd week of veg and are now growing 3/4 - 1 inch a day.

I think youll be alright pumping it into the attic,I myself lived in a hot climate, and I pump it into my attic.but I have a 600,just get a 440cfm fan too blow on the light I can stick my hand on the other end of the vent hole and it its already cold.for your co2 just maybe shut the fans down when your pumping the co2.if it gets hot you might want the intake to pull from your house instead of the attic just pump the heat in the attic.just trying to help

The plan right now is to build a box around the can 100 and run 8" ducting to the lights which will cool the lights and clean the air. My room is actually 10 x 10 and I put a wall up at 7' to seal the room. The can 100 will be vented into the other room. I was told if you vent right back into the same room the can 100 is not as effective and I will still have a lot of smell from the plants.

I want to run co2 but if it's getting vented out of the room what good is it to me.
