@purplehays1 you are either in the wrong business as a lawyer or you are in the wrong place here....1 of the 2. In either case I think I'll choose to put you on the ignore list because you seem to be taking the gov't. line whether you are supposedly growing cannabis or not.
sorry for posting honest information and trying to inform people of what to be cautious of...cultivation is still a serious crime in america and people need to know the legalities.

Here is my advise as a California attorney. The local law may reads as you say, 24 plants, but the state wide law allowing cannabis cultivation for medical uses says you may only grow as much as REASONABLY NEEDED for your own medical needs. Additionally some people have found success being "caretakers" and having permission to grow for others, but this is even very dicey. In my expierience if a DEA taskforce or even local sheriffs with a hardon wanted to they could arrest you even if you had other peoples permission as their caregiver and you would have to go to state court to prove you were growing for your own self or you were a caregiver. Even then they would attempt to send you to federal court where the penalty's are scary, and they will force you to plead out to cultivation, which is a felony.

Keep it reasonable, or it is just as illegal as it has always been boys, dont end up in jail because u think 24 plants yielding 100lb's is legal, it simply isnt.

Also i have seen many cases where local authorities inform on large medical grows to the DEA, thus they are basically enforcing federal law, which is against the law. Cops breaking the law, what a surprise. Circumstances like this are cases i would take pro-bono in so-cal just because it happens so much and is totally outrageous.
God it's so much easier being an outlaw, to hell with growing legally imo, not that I could in my state but still..

The only point i was making is that people in CA that have large grows need to be very careful because a lot of them think they are protected by the law when really they are "outlaws" and not aware of it.

well then why do you keep responding to me? haha

I am not in the wrong business i grow marijuana for my own medical use and i defend persons who break the law or are arrested without breaking the law, often for cannabis crimes, they go hand in hand actually.

My Sweet Purple strain was the first to flower and is much further along than the rest. Has that spicey smell to it that reminds me of some other purple strains that I've ran in the past(A GDP cutting I had back in 08'comes to mind). Not sure if I'm gonna be a fan or not... only one way to find out:bigjoint:View attachment 3767278
i feel like all the modern purple strains smell like the old GDP i used to run, i think they must be its lineage.

Looking great bro! I'm rooting for ya til the end of the season! Did you end up dropping your 30 gallon smart pots straight into the big containers, or transplant out of them?
Took em out of the 30 gallon smart pot, had to cut along the side seam of the pots to get em out safely. I'm sure you could just plop a smart pot inside a smart pot but my guess is it would impede on growth to some degree. Also, I sew back up the side of my 30 gallons and re-use them. I think if you burried the pots they would deteriorate more rapidly and you would get less uses out of them.

Thanks bro! I've tried dropping them straight in and it does seem to slow growth -- I was hoping you'd had a dif experience lol. Good to know for next year though.

Great looking grow btw! Hope you get 100 or more! :weed:

Hey all! Been a while since my last update. We made it to harvest season! Not out of the woods yet but I can smell sweet success(puns intended) but this is no time to let our guard down!IMG_3233.JPGBeen busy as hell and I'm sure all the rest of you farmers have been too. I've been battling budworms and powdery mildew but I've been pretty proactive with Bt, Serenade, and handpicking worms so there has been very minimal damage but these have been the least of my worries. I originally intended to build small rain covers for my plants but I had someone convince me that they could put up a giant tarp over my crop...IMG_3199.JPG this was poorly planned and though in theory it could have worked, I scraped the project and had them take down the tarp because it was poorly rigged and scared the shit out of me. IMG_3200.JPG Next year a greenhouse is going up but it just wasn't feasible this season. Luckily my crop has been pretty far along and I've already started to harvest, weather is looking good for a while(although who knows right), and I have plastic to cover these bitches in an emergency. On a final note: I got the cops called on me because my grumpy neighbor didn't like the smell of my stinky girls. Good old prop 215 to the rescue. Cops were super polite, made sure I was in compliance, asked me how I got my plants so big, told me good job, and were on there way. Stay safe my friends:bigjoint:
