1000 watts of DIY COBs for a 6x4 flower room?

Hello all! first of all I have an electrical background. I definitely understand ohm's law :) I'm not too savvy on lighting technologies though. All I know is I want to build my own DIY COB LED lights for my grow but am not sure how many, and which, COBs i should go with. I have a 6x6x7 room i plan to split into a 6x4 flower room and 6x2 veg room. Should I run 1000 watts of COB LEDs for the flower room? My budget is around 1000 dollars. I have more money and can shell it out if its definitely worth it, but i dont have a high-paying job so any money i can save is gold to me :) My research shows the Cree CXB3590s are the most efficient right now, i think followed behind by the Vero 29s? I also noticed the CXBs are pricier, but I am willing to go with CXBs if they're definitely better overall. But I see a lot of people recommending Vero 29s for their DIY builds so im not too sure. I would appreciate it if you guys could give me some suggestions on what lighting setup i should go with? Not sure if i want my drivers ran HARD or SOFT, i can see the benefit of each but im not quite sure what option to go with for my situation? Should I run something along the lines of 3 drivers since my dimensions are a rectangle (6x4)? FWIW, im in Southern California and here's what I have completed for my grow so far:

Just get 100 Citi 1212s from Cobby and run them 10w each. Your upgrades will be adding more drivers.

Get some bubble gum to stick them on your walls. When it is time to go above 10w/chip then you will have to get serious and mount them to some metal.

Or get 24 citi 1212 and run them on 1050mA drivers, that will be about a 947w light, the chips and pin heat sinks to match will only cost $12-$13 each(13 for chip same for heatsink) $600 or so leaving plenty for drivers, wire, TIM and framing. It will give you a fixture which is 48% efficient and very powerful PPFD at a fraction of the price of a Cree CXB fixture.

16 x cree 3590 would kill it in the 6 x 4 area @ 50w each around 50-54% eff or 20 x 35w would be nice @ over 60% eff. i love my cree,but yeah the new veros are good,built in mounting holes is nice also plus they are priced well :eyesmoke:

yea im actually leaning toward 16x CXB3590s and am researching heatsink design. Any idea on what heatsink design i should look at? any guides, builds, or threads you suggest?

this heatsink is perfect for 50w or less imo and can be ordered for vero and cree cobs,@robincnn is a member and sponsor here as well.he also has some new 130mm heatsinks for running over 50w still waiting for his test results on what the max power is on the 130mm though,hint hint robin lol https://northerngrowlights.com/collections/all/products/sst120-passive-heatsink-kit
