1000watts = 4x250watts

thanx man, those are all pure power plant from nirvana. im not growing those inside again for sure. maybe yall have some advice on a strain that would better suited for my setup??? something nice and easy to grow, but still has a bit of a kick to it is what im shopping for. once again thanx

I reckon you'd do far better with 2 x 400w HPS system in your flowering room than 1 x 1000w system. I've never understood peoples fascination with 1000w systems, in large rooms, yeah they can be good, but not in small spaces like yours, particularly with a cool tube set up - it just doesn't spread out the light enough. Cool tubes are a current fad, for small areas, they can be very good at getting maximum light to the plant tops, but how far do they spread? If they're 12 inches from the plant tops how far are they actually spreading that light with a tiny reflector? Not very far and certainly not enough too illuminate a 6' x 3' space.

There are far better reflector systems on the market, when used properly and with a heat shield spreader you can get the bulbs down to 12" from the plant tops as well as using an efficient parabolic reflector that spreads the light out further - used with two smaller 400w systems you'd cover your area with a lot of light.

Check out Adjust-A-Wings :: Super-Spreader :: lighting for indoor plant growth 2 x 400w medium sized adjustawings with a super spreaders would put out far more light spread over a wider area than your 1000w cooltube setup and would cost less in electricity.

thanx for the feedback. im useing 1, 1000watt light now, but thats just cuz i dont have enough plants to need more. i started the plants i have flowering from seeds so i dont have a large number of plants. i started with 24 but after males and the sickly plants were removed i had 12. out of that 12, 2 more turned hermi on me, so now im down to 10 plants in a 3'x2' tub. ive got panda plastic around the tub so its just a 3'x2' space to light. i have 2, 1000watt lights ill use if/when i do my next crop. and both both have cool tubes with bat wing reflectors.

so any1 see something ive done or am doing wrong here?

I looked up the purple power plant and it had a 130-200 grams rating for indoor growth, but it is saposedly a very potent strain making up for low yeilds. I would look into either Ice (400-600g), White Widow (450+g) or Aurora Indica (350-450g).

You basicly want to stick with an Indica or Indica dominate strain so they dont crowd eachother to much.

Other than that I would say your on your way to some good buds

I would honestly go with the Aurora Indica. Check out this ICE PLANT and how much room they will need each. The Aurora is a slinder less branchy strain like the WW, and would be better in your SOG type setup. You could always do a few bigger strains in soil next to your tub =)

thanx for all the help 420guy,,, i just ordered some WW from nirvana in hopes that maybe it was just a prob with the strain i have flowering now. only time will tell i guess. anywhoo,,,, once again thanks and ill let ya know how things go from here.

things suck so far. turns out nirvana isnt shipping to the US now, so its off to find someone that will.
