10th week of flowering, thrips and white flies, oh my!

Hey, how is everyone? I am about to complete my first grow, 3 plants, bagseed, the problem is I have thrips and white flies. I used neem up until the 8th week of flowering and also fly strips. I don't really mind of bug or two and the thrips aren't horrible that I can see, I kill them as I see them. There isn't must leaf matter left for them to feed on, and I'm almost done with the grow, does anyone have any advice on if I should start adding more dark time to mature these girls faster to get away from a complete take over. I was thinking water curing would be good here to wash away the bug remnants left behind, what do you all think?

so I should get them done as soon as possible?, here are pics

sorry to hear about your pests problem, i read that yellow attracts the white flies so the yellow sticky traps were recommended. on another note...those plants look good, well done!...but i dont think done yet.i would double check those trics as your plants just dont exude the looks of a finished plant.just my opinion. still, good job and good luck with those pesky flies...

If you run CO2 crank it up to 5000 ppms for half an hour. That should control (not necessarily eliminate) your insect populations.

thats what I'm saying. I'm taking everyones advice here into consideration, I have to harvest here in two weeks regardless of whether they are done or not due to a "time crunch" I can't get around. The pics I posted on this post were from the start of week 11, and here it is almost a week later, I think in a week and a half or two weeks they will be perfect. I've been checking trics everyday, and still no amber trics but the flowers are really extending and almost growing out from the bud and swelling. The hairs are about 50% light orange on them and about 30% totalliy white no brown or orange and the rest half white and orange/brown. I have got the lights down to 11on/13off, and will be at 10/14 in a day or so. I have also moved the light up by an inch or two, in theory simulating more of a 'winter'rs peak', but not too much to affect trichome production for I have read a theory for the production of trichomes is to protect the bud from the suns strong rays because the shiny reflection and some other stuff.... puff puff pufff lol, but it was an interesting thought. I use the term winter's peak to mean the shortest and coldest wintery day. The plan is to slowly move towards this shortest day by controlling my grow environment, by slowly starving the plant of light and water attempting to make it more cold and miserable haha. I had flushed for weeks 8-10 and then I gave it a little nute boost 2 days ago in my last watering, and I have a few more waterings left and will be plain water from here on out. I plan on shortening the days by half an hour each day until I feel they are ready for two day dark period and then a drown and then back into dark for 6 hours then will harvest. I am not going to do a full water cure I'll just do a soak to clean the bud with luke warm water then a regular hang dry and jar cure.

Considered taking a shop vac to the plants? That bud is going to be dogshit if you pick it now. Any more time you can buy yourself is going to make it much much better.

man thats a damn shame. those buds look great. they could greatly improve if given another 2 weeks or so. im actually dealing w the same problem right now. im in week 8 of flower and mine are almost done(could use another week. got 1-2% amber) and i got white flies. i 1st got em on my mother plants, but none in the flower room til today i saw 1. idk what to do, but i decided to give em a 3-4 day flush w clearex and no light. any suggestions. not trying to steal yr thread or anything, but we seem to be in exactly the same boat minus the thrips. good luck

I would suggest getting those yellow fly strips as was suggested here. You could also shake eash cola and/or wash it off with luke-warm water. I thought that I'd get over-ran by these bugs but I've stuck to spending time killing what I see when I turn the lights on and before I turn them off and I can say that I've kept a minor issue.

use vacuum to control them . They are hard to get rid of . i used castile soap. and vacuum .The next time I get them I will buy insects that eat them. The fly its self is just a bother but their larva can do some serious damage
