$12 DIY Flood Table cover

For those wanting to do SOG or a small number of plants this guide will show you how to make a cheap and easy flood table cover.

Total time:

1hr for an office worker

Tools:

Saw - I used a table saw as it's the easiest

Drill - I used two. One for predrilling. The other for screwing down. It's recommended you predrill because the TrayHugger table I have was a bitch to screw straight through. As was the PVC

Materials for a 3'x3' table(41"x41"):

(12') - 3/4" Sch40 PVC (sell them in 10' sections for 2 dollars so you're going to have to get 20'. you can use the rest for columns)
(7) - 3/4" Tee's
(1) - 6'x8' White Tarp(Smallest I could find folded in half for double light blocking)
(1) - 4'x4' Panda Film or any reflective surface(optional)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The only thing this below picture didn't show was the columns attached at the bottom end of the Tee for support over the span. For longer spans you'll need more columns. They're cut flush with the pipe channels("U" channels) so they won't waste any square footage.

I think that about does it.

I hope this was easy. I couldn't find anything like this to be bought. I could find straight covers that would still have to be modified, so this was my best option.
