1350 gph pump too much?

Ive been running a dwc setup for a year or so, and want to try a rdwc setup. Mainly to get rid of airstones. Ive been researching pumps today and found a killer deal on a 1350 gph, submersible. All the research ive read seems like a 300-500gph pump is what the majority uses for a 4-5 bucket system, which is what i'll be running. SOoooooooo, what would the potential drawbacks be to having such massive flow? I cant really think of any,but i havent been growin long, so im sure there are some. Will most likely use a 50 gal res, w/ 1/2in feeds and 3/4 to 1 inch return. Any info, feedback, thought, and yes, even opinions are warmly welcomed.

Thx dudes/dudettes,
