142 Watt system - CFL LED Hybrid - Expectations?

I'm trying a low wattage route on some high dollar feminized automatics I shipped to myself from Amsterdam. Its just starting so nothing to take pic of yet, but i'm running 2x 6400 30 watt and 1 x 3000 30 watt and 2 blue 13 watt LED panels and 2 red 13 watt Led panels(the 228 ulb panels.) I plan on switching to 2x 3000 and 1x 6400 when these little autos start flowering, supposed to be completely done in under 8 weeks. I'm hoping running a small variety of cfl's along with the LEDS will grow these autos since they're not supposed to need a ton of light. The whole system is 142 watts but if the plants don't get huge oh well, I like small for my situation(own place but lots of uncool inlaws.)

Just curious on how you think this will end up, I know the LEDS are a bit of a wild card as everyone flips when the bulb is under 1 watt but I know they grow tomatoes with these commercially. Additionally they are planted in 50/50 foxfarm and MG perlite. MG perlite is lightly nuted but down in the range like .06 n-p-k. I also mirrored(just bought a few cheap tall mirrors) the floor and painted the closet walls gloss white. Quite interested in opinion on it as there doesn't seem to be alot of information on autos around here.

MY logic is since I'm giving them 24hrs non stop for 2 months I wanted a lower power system that covered all my bases. So I went 660 and 450 leds and 3000/6400 cfls. i don't intend on growing giants, just getting an ounce per plant would make me happy(5 going.)

Thoughts? Call it an "economic grow," what results should I expect, is an Ounce per plant feasible in this setup?

your gonna want to use a CFL with a spectrum color of 6500K for vegging and 2700K fr flowering. the 3000K-4500Krange doesn't really produce much usable light for MJ plants. I personally use a hybrid system with a 120W tri-band LED and four 27W 2700K CFL's and I flower 4-6 plants depending on the size. one very important thing is the placement of the CFL's. I have my LED up top and the CFL's around it pointing up at it. this seems to work well for me. here is a pick to explain..... Good luck with the AF

Thanks for the input, any opinion on the led panels? Are they even worth using i've read people saying anything under 1 watt bulbs is useless. Already switched to 2700's per your suggestion.

What kind of yield are you getting?

I'm not familiar with the panels you are using. One thing I have learned is the color type. for flowering it is good to have at least 660nm red. for vegging it is good to have 450nm of blue. my buds grow tight and very dense. I don't think i will ever grow with anything but the LED/CFL combo. the last harvest i had was 4 plants and after curing i ended up with 137.4 grams(smoking it right now!) I get better yield with the LED light than i will with my outdoor plants and yes, they are the same strain. then again there is so much more to getting good yields than just lights.

I have those exact colors, but its 13 watt x 228 leds x 4 panels. I just run the cfl's hanging in and around but I like your idea of directing them up.

137 grams off 4 plants is awesome. I'm running these:

3 of those and 2 of the devilmatics from that same site, have 10 seeds doing 5 at a time.

Using foxform oceean forest and 50% perlite.

Is an ounce per plant too optimistic? I understand if ya can't tell cuz strains are different I just don't know if I'm wildly off base. Down where I am an ounce per plant will be a good size profit.

It all comes down to watts in the end. The most you can possibly hope to pull from your setup is 1g per watt. Even then, good growers still usually don't pull more than .5g to .75g per watt depending on strain/growing medium/CO2/size and heat limitations.

With 142w, you can probably pull about 2 1/2 oz.

I saw an LED grow with the 206W Penetrator that got one gram per watt. The hid lamp only got 0.69 gr per watt.

those look like sweet strains! getting an ounce cured per plant will be very realistic. you will probably get more than that. plus you will have all the clippings to make some good hash.

Your plant is stretching quite a bit. I would suggest losing the cfl reflectors because the usable distance on cfl's is under 2 inches anyways.
Lose the reflectors, move the bulbs in super close, no more than 2 inches away. Also since you are using very low wattage led's I suggest you move those in closer too.

Other than that, nice grow space.
