one 1000w and one 600w covering a 5x5 tent? Is it overkill for that size of a tent? Right now I just have one 1000w(I feel like it doesn't cover the whole area) in my 5x5 but my next round I wanna throw in the 600w I have sitting around collecting dust. Planning on doing 9 plants. Any one tried this or have experience with it? What's the best way I could do this and what yield should I hope for if I do? I don't wanna do it if it's just gonna be wasting electricity. Any tips or pointers would be appreciated!

My buddy just finished 6 plants in a 4ft x 4ft tent, 2 600 watt HPS and got 2.6 lbs growing green crack.

Way overkill. I'm running 1000 hps in a 4x4 and its basically overkill. I've done 2x 400's in a 4x4 before and thought it was great, and if I had a 4x8 I would run 2 400's, one on each end, and a 600 in the middle.

You'll need a lot of airflow, both active intake and exhaust. It's not for the faint of heart.

I run a thowie in a 4.5 sq tent, ands 2 600s in another. Lights are air cooled independent of the tent. I think the 1000 is perfect for the area. I can't fit more than 4-5 plants in my tents and thier packed in by the end . IDK how the fuck you people squeeze 8,9,10 plants in these tents. Try 6 under that 1000, might like the results better.

It depends on the size of the plant when you start flowering. It's legit to fill your floor area with clones in 1gal pots, and flip them as as soon as they take off, or just do a couple larger plants in a scrog. Historically I've liked 4-6 in my 4x4, but I'd like to try the lots of small plants method some day
