18/6 light cycle during last week of flower?

Has anyone else ever heard of bumping the light cycle back up to 18/6 during last week of flowering? I heard it helps to drain last bit of nutrients out of plant and soil, and into the buds...This may be total bull shit, i have no idea. Pretty new to growing, so any advice or comments greatly appreciated. :leaf:

that would actualy ruin your finish..the 18/6 would do nothing but make the plant stop what iits doing and start turning its energy into veg...as far as using up nutrients , in the last 7-10 days you should be giving straight water to flush all those chemicals out not increase there uptake..

ive been wondering too but all the evidence makes it sound like a bad idea cuz buds in the last 2 weeks start filling out alot and if the plant isnt producing the flowering hormones the growth of buds will end up stunted and promote the growing of leaves and stems

12 hours all the way up untill harvest is the best way and no nutes for the last 5 days. Then cut em or uproot the plant and put her in a bucket of fresh ph water under 18 hours of light, then darkness for 3 days.

Thats the best way to finish plants in my opinion.

I was serious about the 18/6 question, had some old hippie tell me it was the way to go, but he's also an old hippie....so most of what he says is usually bullshit, way too many drugs for his own good. ima get stoned now and go look @ the ladies for a while....thanks again man. :leaf:

18/6 would make ur plant veg again..the last few days this is what i do 12/12 flowering then the last few days i give it 48 hours of darkness then before i pick it i cut off all the leafs and give it 12 hours more light so the light hits all the buds and everyspot on the bud...try it

18/6.... it might do something positive or negative, but until you actually see someone type it up on here that has done it before you really wont get an answer. I doubt there are many people here that have done 18 but I saw a guy on youtube swear about 14 hours though. This guy had a major medical op

u might wanna shorten ur light period to like 8-10 hrs the last few weeks ive heard about doing it from alot of people who swear by it but i havent tried it myself so who knows if its true or maybe only w/certain growing conditions or genetics.
