1st CFL grow. Plants almost done, when should I harvest? (Tons of PICS!)

Its been about 6 weeks into flowering and its getting close to harvesting time. I would say that about 40% of the hairs on the main bud have turned orange and some of the leaves are staring to die. I flushed her yesterday and i was thinking about harvesting this weekend. I need some opinions on how soon i should i should harvest and any tips on how to do it would also be welcome.

hey kidmuffin nice she looks good. well first off it depends on what kind of high you want. but i would wait another week maybe two. are you asking also on how to harvest??? nice she looks good. AND PEOPLE SAY YOU CANT GET A NICE PLANT AND A GOOD BUD WITH CFLS... looks good man. but if you can i would wait another week or two. also you want to flush more than one watering. i flush for a week to make sure. i know a couple people that even go two weeks. the leafs are dieing because you bugs are sucking the nutes out so that is a good thing. well good luck nice grow

Get yourself a hand held microscope 60x - 100x they sell them at radioshack. They will help you see the trichomes up close to see if they are ready. Usually most people wait till they are amber for a couch stoned buzz, But you can harvest them when they are cloudy which will give you a more up lifting buzz. But all cannabis strains are different in ending times. usually 8- 10 weeks but some will be ready in as little as 6 weeks while others can take up to 12 weeks. Thats why this little microscope is so handy. Also you can search out 420 Scope but they are more expensive then Radioshacks version. Good Luck

alright thanks. also, these plants are only 35 days into flowering. we are using 6 42watt cfls and 4 26 watt cfls.
