1st Grow, Sexing Question

Been reading this board for awhile, first post, thanks to all those that share their knowledge. You've been a great help.

First grow, DWC with bag seed, lights have been on 12/12 for 13 days, three males pulled but none of my other 17 plants have shown sex. There is one that has what looks to be green blackberrys emerging on it. No pistels. Are these emerging female flowers? Bud sites?

If you're throwing them in to flower before sexing, your're throwing them in too soon. They haven't reached maturity yet. How long did you veg. them?

The majority of plants will show preflowers once they have matured. no need to go 12/12 to find out. I never have, all MJ plants I have ever grown have shown preflowers.

Really? I've never seen signs before going 12/12. I've had plants grow in veg for almost a year without showing any sign whatsoever... Also that was growing in dirt. Wouldn't assume that matters much.

I know pics would help, but spending all my money buying grow equipment. I'll have to borrow one, maybe some more info would help?

Just got home and one plant is no doubt female, showing its flowers and pistels. Exciting stuff!!! This is my first time sexing and was really getting nervous about it. The plant in question is still not showing any pistils. If you have ever seen a green wild blackberry before it turns red and then black, then thats exactly what it looks like. These are all over the plant and they look nothing like the males did. I should add that the plant showing pistils looks nothing like this plant. Could it be a hermie? Since it looks nothing like the plant showing pistils, common sense tells me just to toss it.

Like I said, this grow is just some bag seed, so its no big deal. Just trying to learn with the first couple of grows, before I get some good seed.

I did come across some Durban seeds from a friend and two of them germ'ed. They are up and showing first leaves in the cloner (using it now for germing seeds). Now I find this is a outside strain, will it be worth growing indoors?

Again, been on alot of sites researching for the past year, found this site to be the best by far. Alot of great info here. Thanks again.
