hi guys, i got a 250w mh for my 4 jack herer(seedlings 5 days old into 50/50 mix with perlite).Last night,I watered my plants according to canna coco line feeding schedule. Because i didnt wash my coco very well at the beginning, I measured the EC and PH from the run off and i got 2 and 7, i will use canna flush into next watering so i would lower EC levels and then adjust the ph, i transplanted my seeds straight into 4 gal pots . Any advice?

50/50 isn't what I use, but isn't all that bad. I go with 70/30 or 80/20 coco/ perlite ratio. I would always start with about 1/4 strength nutrients of whatever the bottles tell you. They want you to use more so you come back sooner. lol I also wouldn't be feeding seedlings very much, as a newb it's easier if you wait until they start to yellow and begin from there. You measured the run off and got 2 & 7? Damn thats a huge difference. I would flush your plants well with plain ph'ed water, and if your plants are yellow start with a 1/4 of the recommended nutrients. If they are still green then just flush, and feed plain water until plant becomes yellow, then begin feeding 1/4 strength. 1/4 strength generally isn't enough, but it's a good introduction for your plants instead of hitting them right away. PH your water between 5.8-6.2, fluctuating up from 5.8-6.2 as you water throughout the week. This will help different micros and macros to be used be the plant. Next time I would also try to work your way up from a 1 gallon first, then a 4 gallon. When you have such a small plant in a big pot it won't dry as quickly as the root system isn't big enough to absorb that much water quickly. Not saying this is your situation, but rather a warning to pay attention. If it's taking longer than a day to dry out your pot, It could lead to issues. :peace:
